Who else has removed the Catalytic converter shield from under the cat?

The catalytic converter underside shield has started vibrating. I've just been under the car and only two bolts out of five still attach it to the cat. I've removed these bolts (one broke off) and I removed the shield. In order to refit it I will need to drill out the remainder of the four bolt threads.

Is it worth re-attaching the shield or can I leave it off and save a bit of weight ;-)

Mine did the same, never reattached it, that was a year and a half ago.

mine rattled aswell, so I got a dp, decat, and milltek lol suppose removing it woulda been cheaper lol

Rattled so removed it and all is good now.

Yeah maybe on a nice sunny warm day I'll jack it up and drill the rusty bolts out and re-attach, but for now I'll just take advantage of the reduced weight ;-)
