B9 Who actually owns one?

Gotta say .... Audi have been pretty boring with some alloy wheels .... mainly the rotors !

I had the rotors on my last car (S5) and had no choice than to have them again on my current car .... albeit yes they are a nice design !

Come on though, they've had their day now.

But the alloys on the RS4 are like WOW - just amazing, they really do look fantastic

In hindsight the Photos may have been better with windows up - I was venting the heat out after it sat there all day while I was at work and then yes everything open for the drive home

42.5 psi is showroom pressure to stop wheels from rounding while sat in showroom. Its standard Audi procedure throughout different franchise dealers. How do I know, well my S3 was sat in the showroom before I collected and they raised tyre pressures and forgot to put them back down.

It does, 6k miles on my car now. Bit of a warble on the over run which I really like and at full throttle the whump on gear change is nuts! Still no pops or bangs though which is a shame but I guess I need to act my age really

You may have sussed it already but the pressures are on the sticker on the end of the drivers door. I have only just found it myself after checking the manual.

NB: This is a cold pressure - my fronts show at 40+ when warm. I have not pushed it in corners at all yet so guess that could higher again when warmer.

Collected mine this week - ex Audi UK press launch car - loaded with kit. Like it - doesn't feel as rapid as the 340PS RSQ3 it replaced - maybe because it isn't as close to something terminally bad happening!

Yeah seriously, the RS4 is obviously a very rapid tool without a doubt - just lacks the outright drama of it's predecessor - probably the higher centre of gravity meant that one could get to the edge of scary with that howling 5 pot for company really easily. The facelift, 2015 onwards, RSQ3 was one of Audi's best kept secrets - I think just 929 RSQ3s were ever sold in the UK 2014-2017.

Don't get me wrong I really like the RS4 and will keep it, it's a really good drive and the tech is amazing after the Q3.

I only get the pops and bangs on dynamic and the gearbox in s mode. I ave the sport exhaust and she sounds amazing, I’m on 1500 miles

There's no such thing as GFV anymore. It has long since been replaced by "Optional Final Payment". Removing any guarrantee of what the car may be worth at the end of the term.

Completely varies depending on the invoice price of the car, how much deposit you're paying and the interest rate.

I think it was less than that . Been playing weekly from January 2017 and it was my game credit I used as I had another go on the weekend for the RS6 (which has now been took off). Paid the extra price for the the free fuel for the year and the £20,000 and useductive that to spec it . Now I have a £70,000 car for about £7.

I'm thinking of taking the plunge after falling out of favour with my SQ5. Any problem with the black coating on the exhaust tips coming off?. My sons boss has a 2018 RS5 with the black tips & there looking bad after not many miles. Will the dealers do anything about the coating on them?.

Mines a 2018 and I have had no problems with the black tips. I give them a good wash regularly when I do the car and this keeps them looking good. If you let the exhaust muck build up I know that this attacks any exhaust tips so I imagine the same would apply to the coating.

I am on third B9 only the latest RS4 has black tips. The sports exhaust is now standard and so far all good . I would definitely not pay £1000 extra for the black tipped sport exhaust. No noticeable sound difference at all. Anyone else know how to make it louder as I’d expected?

X3 Man is correct - I bought a Cete AVC controller for my RS4 but never got around to having it fitted. Cete are a decent bunch of people over in Germany and let me swap the RS4 for an RSQ3 version so now I can have the exhaust valve open at will (like driving in Sport mode), was a worthwhile mod. TX kindly provided the name of the fabulous VAG specialist inde (The Phirm) that fitted his AVC and they did mine too.

Short of getting a custom exhaust made the AVC is your best hope of adding a bit of character to the driving experience of the RS4.

Me. . Collected 1 Sep and loving it. Just about run in now.

Picked up No 2 RS4 on 1 September loving it too but miss the multi coloured LED interior lights and Tyre pressure display. old one ETA is still for sale. It was too much of a bargain to resist the change.
