Hi all
I'm a new 1st time audi owner of a 57 plate 2008 A3 Sportback 170 Quattro aswel as new to the site, the car has fsh with 93k, the problem is that after being run for only a few minutes a thick cloud of white greyish smoke comes out the exhaust and smells terrible like the same sort of smell you get if you're stuck behind an old worn out car from the 80's, from what people have told me it doesn't seem to be constantly coming out when driving but does when accelerating hard and also does constantly when stopped and idling. I took it into my local VAG Specialist for a diagnostic test and the only engine fault that came up was - 1650 (P0672) Glow plug, cylinder 2 Q11 Electrical Fault In Circuit Sporadic
The garage said that the car may have other issues judging from the colour/smell emitted from the exhaust ie injectors/loom and there could be early signs that the car may be emitting small oil vapour via the exhaust due to an early turbo wear issue. The car does not start smoothly especially first thing and also is lumpy when cold and can often feel a dead spot when say pulling away at a roundabout while still moving slowly in 2nd gear.
I'd really appreciate any help, ideas or advice that anyone would be able to give regarding this so that i have some ideas to what the issues might be rather than just taking the garages word about it. Thanks for any help in advance.
