I've taken delivery of a 2021MY A4 Avant S-Line in white but the roof ariel is in gloss black! My 2020MY A5 Sportback S-Line is in white with a body colour roof ariel. Does anyone who why this has happened? Anyone here experienced the same?
Because it's a black edition, though to be fair, your user pic isn't so who knows. On the configurator, all trim levels look like they have black grill bars and roof ariel
Thanks, Paul. My user photo is of my last 2018MY A5 Sportback. The A4 is an S-Line, not a higher Black Edition. I've seen on another forum 2021MY A5 Sportback S-Line models coming with a black ariel on a white car, again not BE variants. Perhaps it's a 2021MY change?
Looks like that's it. On the configurator, even a Technik in any colour has the black aerial and grill bars. Not sure why Audi would do this.
that would look all wrong imho... sorry to hear that. I have my2020 b9.5 S5 in white with black pack .. white arial .. black would just look nuts ...
. I think black and white looks nice. When I went to pick it up, I thought oh darn, maybe not a good idea ... at last tomorrow I can drive somewhere (picked up 1 day before lockdown..)

I think we can both safely say white looks like a great fit for the a5 sportback shape .. I do like the chrome details on yours

I used to have a glacier white a6 some years ago... you get a lovely blue / grey hue under low or high ambient light levels ... it’s really subtle but lovely ... wish I had glacier m but wasn’t an option ,,, ibis is still good though
Both mine were the same. December 2016 S3 ibis with black aerial November 2020 A5 ibis with black aerial. I think it’s just what comes to hand either at factory or when it’s PDI is done. I checked autotrader pics and there is a mix of black and colour coded aerials. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
