Which one should I get? 97 or 98 A4 1.8T?

Both cars have very good maintenance and have clean titles.

Here's the specs:

1997 1.8T Quattro Black with Black Cloth Seats
80,000 Miles
Second Owner, and very clean inside. Have leather steering wheel and Automatic.


$6500
1998 1.8T Quattro Black with Grey leather Int.
97,000 Miles
Second Owner, and clean.
Automatic with Tiptronic.
Comes with Thule Rack and other stuff.
Had new Front and Rear Brakes. New Struts and Ball Joint Also.


I'm having a hard time trying to pick which one I should get. What do you guys prefer? And is there anything I should check?

Its up to you, but if i had to pick, i probably would pick the 97. But if i were in your place, i would save up a little more and try and go for a 99.5+

I really dont know for sure...but i heard '98 engines are better?

Might be bull*** though...i have had no problems at all with my '97.
