Which oil filter to buy??

I would always go OEM.....but then I would do because car is always under warranty and dealer serviced.
Speaking of oil filters and just after having my first oil change a week ago, I was surprised to learn that the filter on my S3 is simply a paper element type that fits inside a permanent fixed housing.
I don't know how common this is nowadays because I've not bought an oil filter since back in the 90's.

Vag cars have been like that for ages. Remember my old hondas all had a metal cup type filter that screwed on. Insides were probably just a paper element anyway.
