which is quicker ?

hi all
could anyone tell me which is the quickest an a3 1.9tdi 110 se, or an a4 1.9tdi sport, i have the a3 and am thinking of buying the a4, but am thinking power to weight ratio will mean they both have the same performance.

I'd say the A4 would have the edge (assuming you're talking about the B6 model 130bhp). Even though it's only 20bhp more powerful the weight is only the equivalent of 2.5 passengers. If you've ever driven a 1.8T vs a 1.8se, the difference is immense and that's only 25bhp difference (in the same car admittedly).

The A4 TDI 130 is a good all rounder.Mine is around 175bhp and still can do 50mpg.Going to miss that.
