WHICH CAR BATTERY CHARGER?

Hi All.

Any recommendations on a car battery charger?

Ideally one that either charges itself and them jump starts the car, or one that charges the battery off the car.

Needs to be suitable for bigger engines/batteries.

Any of the Halfords battery chargers are fine on trickle mode. Not a fan of the jump-start versions. If a battery is losing charge and the electrolyte levels are fine it's probably goosed. Just changed the battery on the A4 and A2 this year (both originals) after 14-15 years!

Thanks for the info. It's actually for a newish Bosch S3 battery on a family member's Renault dCi that has been sat over the winter.
