Which brand of diesel...

I don't know about anyone else on here.. but I've noticed a difference in the performance of my A4 TDi depending upon which type of fuel I put in it.

I've had it chipped to 120bhp and the difference is all the more noticable.

It seems to have a bit more grunt under Texaco or Shell than it does any other brand of diesel....

Anybody else noticed this? or is it just in my head?

Yes! I've found Tesco's is slow but Texaco is good!

I have just ordered an A4 2.5 TDI (180 PS) and was interesed to see what the best diesel is. I have been on Optimax on my S3 and A4 Cab.

Well I'm pretty sure that Texaco and Shell are the best in mine.. I always run the tank down so I'm not mixing much old stuff with the new diesel.. and I've tried various brands.

Texaco seems to be slightly better than Shell - pulls a bit better on the motorway.
