Where shall I take the BE for it's first service :) ?

Got my first oil/filter change coming up on the BE, I live in Hampshire so could pick, Poole, Salisbury or Southampton Audi.

At a push, I could also use Swindon Audi as I'm over that way occassionally.

Southampton is nearest, would be interested in any experiences of them all though, I know it's only an il service but this is the start of me finding a tame dealer

I should have said I have a service plan that came with the car so am sticking inside the dealer network for the moment, although when the time comes for brakes/discs etc will almost certainly be using an Indie...

Mmm. Well I used Southampton Audi about 4 years ago when the S3 was only a year old. Needed a new clutch and steering rack under warranty. Safe to say that they were slow, not very knowledgeable and reluctant to help. With enough pushing, the stuff got done but it wasn't an easy process.

Was a long time ago, and slightly bigger issues than an Oil/Filter change.

Had Southampton code my key for me a while back so spent an hour sitting in there. You can see why the charges are so high. So many staff, receptionists, on tap soft drinks, biscuits and decent coffee etc. You are paying for all of that gloss on your invoice.

My cars normally go to indie specialists. Yes the coffee will be rubbish and there won't be a woman in a low cut top on the front desk, but depending on what is being done you'll save yourself a fortune.

Wait hold up, low-cut tops? Are they fit?

What I'm trying to find is a decent, dealer who can do my car while I have the service plan and possibly do simple service items like oil etc to maintain history. I'd use Indies for the actual difficult stuff like cambelt/water pump.

When I had my beemer I got Swindon BMW pretty well tamed, I got them to price match a near-ish Indie for all services, got on good terms with one of the service advisor lads so I always got a car etc.

I just need a few pointers to see where the most likely dealer is that I can manipulate for my machiavellian ends

Fit women in short skirts and low cut tops is an obvious bonus.
