Where can i get....

a new plug for the reverse sensor for A3 1.8T AGU 5 Speed. Mine has corroded through and needs to be replaced, i phoned audi and the price was well.... to say extortionate would be an understatement!

if anyone is breaking an A3 or knows where i can get a cheap replacement could you help me out?

its the electrical plug i need, not the physical switch in the gearbox.

Euro car parts, GSF, or TPS, they should all be better...or if you like PM PJMSpeedy on here, he will be able to get you a price...

The plugs are usually available separately from Audi quite cheaply but its not unheard of that they have confused your request and quoted for part of a loom or the actual switch... I look into getting a new plug assembly for my MAF sensor and they did the shroud, internals etc all separately... the part numbers are on the separate bits so may be worth trying again... seem to remember the bits being much less than a tenner...

yeh i wouldnt expect to pay much more than £5-10 for the plug and some new wires and pins.

Dealers probably just looked it up wrong.

Your old plug has a part number on it, so you can order the correct part.
