where can i buy replacement wing mirror glass?

my car is 2000 a6.
i went to halfords and bought what they said was the correct glass for £7, got home and it doesn't fit.
they have all a6 wingmirrors the same from 98-2002 in their in store chart but they changed at 2000.

anyone know where i can get a one to fit other than the main steelers, i'll be happy with just a stick on rather than the proper audi
