Wheeler Dealers Edd China quits....

Ed China's a bit of a hero of mine, brilliant mechanic. It won't be the same without him, but Ant Anstead really knows his cars as well! I watch Fast 'n Loud on Discovery as well, and the head mechanic, Aarron Kaufman, has just left that show after many years. What's going' on?

Eds reasons seem pretty sound to me!

One of the attractions of the show for me was the focus on the mechanical fixing and renovation. It sounds as if the show is going to go the way of several others whereby there is a lot of banter, human interest story, talking and loosely related film clips and a return to the car at the end in a renovated state. This seems to be the modern format - DIY SOS went the same way :frown new:

Watched this program for years and love it.

As my own cars became more complex and less diy friendly, it was the likes of Wheeler Dealers that kept my interest going in the diy side of things. Let's hope his new venture is equally as engrossing :racer:

Sad to see, but I like his reasoning to leave. Not just chasing the £££

I'm not a fan of Mike Brewer, would be good if Edd China could do a show of his own the way he wants it but he's probably had enough with filming. I had to laugh when Mike Brewer explained about priming the fuel pump on a car by switching the ignition on and off several times, the fuel pump was an old school mechanical one, well done Mike you idiot! Can't help but think he wouldn't get half of those deals without the camera being there.

Wheeler Dealers is all a fix, a few years ago i new someone who sold a car to Brewer, a few days prior to him going to " view " the car a team of mechanics went over the car with a fine toothed comb & listed all the faults, they do a deal on the price & Brewer arrives to do his version of the deal, the seller is given a script to follow about bartering on the price & Brewer leaves with all the viewers thinking he's got a cheap car when in fact the seller has sold it for more.

The thing is with fast and loud, has he quit?
Seems to me they have just branched out a bit, Aaron is still on it, he ain't gone at all lol, they are just manipulating the format a bit, obviously to increase there options and rope in a few more shows under the fast and loud banner.

I wish I was a quid behind Richard Rawlings!

I was lucky enough to get to a Barrett Jackson car auction at the Mandalay Bay in Vegas last October.........what a ginormous event. $32.5m worth of cars sold across the block in 3 days.!! Saw Richard Rawlings and his mate Dennis Collins doing some business.....yes, it seems they do actually work for a living as well!

New series of wheeler dealers with Ant Anstead started on Monday, but it’s on again tonight at 10PM on Discovery

That spoiler on the escort. That designer made out that ford took out the middle spoiler to cut costs. They were probably being kind and didn’t want to tell him it looked sh1t

Ant ( not over keen on him ) removed the engine & box to find the oil leak, fixed the engine in a revolving cradle & turned it upside down to remove the sump, a bit later in the show with the engine back in the car he did an oil change. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
