As per thread title really, want to seal my wheels, and will go down the wax route for now rather than a ceramic coating.

Have the matt titanium v-spokes with diamond cut face (and the matt titanium paint has a slight texture to it) so interested in opinions on whether PoorBoys Wheel Sealant or Auto Finesse Mint Rims would be the best option? Or any other wheel wax recommendations?

Not intending to take the wheels off, just seal the spokes and face this time around, but also interested in what people are using as a reasonably priced jack - next year I’ll take the wheels off and give them a proper ceramic coat back and front.

Eh.... get em off..... Use the supplied car jack 2 mins to remove and it makes the application of the wax so much easier and no doubt it will last longer than applying it with wheels on the car
I wouldn't bother buying a specific wheel wax if you've a good paint wax in your inventory, l used some fireball fusion wax on mines yesterday very glossy indeed DSC_0433.JPG DSC_0431.JPG

After spending all your dosh on those expensive polishes, waxes & other cleaning gear, I see you've had to resort to the Scottish version of an axle stand, @jassyo06 !! :whistle2::thumbs up:

You’re right - I know. You might have convinced me to not be a lazy sod! Good to know you have faith in the standard supplied jack (albeit with a wooden chock failsafe)! Was wondering if people like yourself were using a more substantial jack at home but perhaps not.

Fireball Fusion?! You have some high-end taste in waxes my friend if this is what you’ve relegated to do your rims with! Ruddy good result though!

What are you using for tyre shine? Been using Megs Endurance tyre gel for the last couple of years - no real issue with it, but you seem to know your detailing products, and you’ve got a top finish in that picture...

Again Fireball gloss tyre wax mate it's really good and a bottle of it lasts at least 6 months, it doesn't really leave a gloss finish more of a mix between gloss and satin l rate highly

I just use regular body wax on my wheels. Have tried '' wheel wax'' but didn't find it any better.

If you're taking the wheels off you might as well ceramic coat them. I used Cquartz Dlux and it's doing a really good job of keeping them clean. £25 for 30ml which did 2 coats on all 4 wheels, the tail pipes and the rear diffuser with still quite a bit left in the bottle. Not sure how long it's going to last but they come up clean with just car shampoo and sparkle like mad. :)

That's the only problem with Gtechniq stuff, they claim 24 hours curing time whereas the Cquartz stuff was only 12. I started early in the morning so getting 12 hours curing time was easier. I think they would both be fine with less time, but it's just if they get any water on them (even condensation) they water spot and you'd have to machine polish it out, which is obviously much trickier on an alloy. If you can garage the car then then this isn't a problem at all, but unfortunately I'm open to the elements. I even though of putting cling film over the wheels while they cured but this wouldn't protect them from overnight condensation.

It was a bit of a pain in the **** to do, especially 2 coats but I think it was worth it. I would say your very nice wheels might be easier than the usual S3 wheels I had to deal with.

Cheers - one bottle of Fireball tyre wax ordered (went for the blue bottle as opposed to the red, as that seemed to match what you describe). Appreciate the advice.

I’m gonna try waxing the rims with my regular wax (Bilt Hamber Double Speed) and see how that works out. Thanks all
