    Hi guys.
So having just bought a new to me A6 bitdi and it having 20 inch rotors which have just been refurbished I want to keep them nice and clean and scratch/damage free. I cleaned them for the first time today with autoglym wheel cleaner but im disappointed with the results. See pics. How do I avoid this residue?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you leave it for too long on the alloys? You shouldnt leave it on for more than couple of minutes and agitate with a good quality wheel brush.

I have always used Bilt Hamber and trust me it will never disappoint you.

This looks like you’ve washed the wheels then on rinsing (I guess with a pressure washer) you’ve rinsed behind the brake disc and there is a whole load of black that comes out.

My advice is that once you have washed them, rinse thoroughly and then dry with a. Micro fibre. Get some decent polish and wax on the rims or ideally a wheel or paint sealant.

Do you use this little number even just when washing them normally when not too bad? Like my wheels have the wheel armour on so they are never baked in rubbish, and a micro fibre mitt generally gets most of it. Is it safe on the polished bits or do you just use down the gaps and tight edges?
