How much extra labour would be involved roughly to replace a wheel bearing when changing discs and pads on a s3 8v?

might get all mine done when having the discs and pads done. Cars on 60k now

Think it’s worth it if I’m keeping it long term. Peace of mind and save labour down the line

Do it yourself not hard job .. But messy

I am useless at anything manual like that, I’d rather pay somebody to do it haha

No worries then, just look for 3rd party local garages english or polish no hlafords or chain companies they are mostly expensive.. And you will be good for another few years

I’ve got a decent specialist you the road, booked in for discs and pads on Friday, got a suspected wheel bearing but they’ll be able to check when discs etc are off.

When you replacing bearings it is best to replace both on the front and on quattro all round and discs and pads all round too and do not touch it for 5 years or maybe 10 haha

Thanks mate. Got disc and pads all around, we’ll see what the bearings are like, if it’s not that I don’t know what the noise is

If the noise is like an aeroplane it IS bearing becuse I had it.. The seller said and I even checked b4 purchase the car was registered as sorn so he didn't drive it so te bearing got rusty..
If you hear noise on the passengers side it will be yours drivers side wrong.. And if you hear it on your side it most likely is passengers... I could hear it on mine side replaced and sht still so then had to replace other side.. So now I know always change both..
