Following my recent camera upgrade, i've now focused my attention on my lenses. I've sold all of my kit lenses and kept my 50mm f1.8 and just purchased a 70-200mm f4. Now I wouldn't mind getting a decent all round zoom, the favourites in the Canon stable seem to be the 24-70mm f2.8 and the 24-105mm f4, the difference in price is a quite a bit between them though.

What does everybody else use as there lenses?

On my 450d I use the 18-55 kit lens with polarizing filter. On the 40d a 50mm prime. On the 50E 28-80 usm, the Yashica TLR has a 35mm and the Mamiya 100S has a 75mm prime.

I have a Canon 55-250mm and a 18-55mm lens, maybe do most of my work with the 18-55
id love a Macro lens and a Fisheye lens next. ;)

My lenses for my 600D are:

Canon 50mm f1.8
Canon 55-250mm f4-5.6
Canon 18-55mm f3.5-5.6
Tamron 10-24mm f3.5-4.5

The wide angle pretty much lives on there since I bought it. I do love the telephoto though!

Never really got on with the prime - might buy a 30mm 1.4 instead.

I have the 24-105 f4l lens, fantastic walk about lens with good reach. Going to be up for sale soon.

I think i'm erring towards that lens actually beacuse its the cheaper option mainly. PM if you're about to sell it as i'm currently searching through eBay and likely to press the button on one in the next day or so.

If benoir has bought one,by then, I'd appreciate a PM too

My fave is the 24-105 on the 5 d, i wan a similar for the crop body, . I did have a 18-135 and that was surprisingly good. but really want another 24-105 hence the above.

I occasionally use my sigma 28-70 F2.8 as a walk around but on a crop its not wide enough really, but the aperture makes up for that a little in all round useability

I have a Nikon D5000 and i own few lenses.

18-55mm Kit lens
55-200mm (owned 2 years used twice)
50mm F/1.4G
35mm F/1.8
Digital Holga ultimate kit from holga direct

The last year or so the 50mm has lived on my camera. I love taking pictures with natural light and i love the bokeh @F1.4 the lens captures.

The last month or so i've been using both the 35mm and 50mm. They both live in the camera bag.

On my 5D Mk2 24-105mm is my walk around but I also have a nifty fifty and some adapted old manual focus lenses mainly in the 24 to 160mm range.
