Hi what's this pink bit on the pipe work running alongside the head?
It's wet

Pink possibly coolant.

Is there meant to be a bung or valve there?

Bleed valve for the coolant. Have you checked it’s closed ? Or it could have just gone leaky over the years. The pink colour is coolant stain.

It was actually wet when I took the cover off
