Whats this fault symbol?

Hey, can anyone help, i have this warning symbol everytime i start my 2001 s3, its not in the owners manual, can anyone help? i heard it might be a low brake pad warning????

Yeah, it's front brake pads - but worth a visual inspeciton as sometimes the sensors can play up.

had a look, there seems to be about 6 - 8 mm left on the pads, maybe less on 1 side, is it time to get pads??

Next, what pads are good? i can get a good price on forodo pads, any good??? thanks

 

I run TAROX pads and discs and find they bite really nicely and offer a good deal of feel

 

the wire often snaps giving a false low pad light.

you can short the plug out to clear it after inspecting how much actual pad you have left

 

As mentioned above, it could be the pad behind the disk thats worn.
