Took the A3 to Audi today for the 'urgent' gearbox software update (only called them in August)!!

Asked the service receptionist not to wash it and put the signs in the front and back windows.

Picked it up and it's been washed !!!! I know they mean well, but has everyone lost the ability to read or understand plain requests.

Hopefully I won't need to spend too long correcting any issues.

I'm off to have a chat with my best mate Victor Meldrew!

Audi have done this to my car 3 times, each time they’ve paid £350 for it to go back to a detailer for a paint correction.

I asked why they take no notice of the “Do not wash” sign I put on the dash and their response was “the people washing the cars are Romanian so can’t read English”.

My dealer paid for a detail when they washed mine. I always say don't wash it!

Mine went in for a warranty job, they called me to say it had been done and it will be ready as soon as it's been washed!!!! :wtf:I said no don't bother, so he contacted them straight away and took it out of the 'To do' list :smug:
