My car is an 09 plate, and Im wondering what it will be worth in two years time.

Its a 1.6 Sport in Ibis White, with privacy glass and an Ipod connection. It will have roughly 20 - 25k on the clock?

Any ballpark figures would be good :icon_thumright:

look in the likes of autotrader and piston heads at 1.6 A3's which are from 2006/07

Then add a little as 09 cars will be rare due to the slowdown in sales, then take a bit off as a new A3 will be out, add a little more as the recession will be over and people will be spending again.

Wow, you like to plan ahead fella!

From a quick t'internet scan A3s retain 47% over three years, you wont get much return on the options either - you never do.

We just traded in our 2 year old 1.9tdi sport and got £12500 for it with 13k on the clock, this was againt a heavily discounted new one so no extra added on to trade in, think the price will be higher for diesels so you can prob knock a grand of that maybe, used car prices are on the up though due to less demand so you may get a bit more.

don't forget that the A3 is supposed to have a major facelift in 2010, as well as the possible introduction of the A1 as a/the replacement city car. Expect the market price for 'old shape' ones to go down everywhere apart from dealers.

I'ts not a facelift it will be a whole platform the A3 will be based on in 2010.

Sadly that retained value is based on what they will still sell at main dealers for. Generally you will see a bit less if you sell privately or part ex.
