I have a 2008 audi a3 sport, I have replaced my standard 17" wheels with 19" RS6 alloys. I thought they were repilcas and were 8J's but when i got them fitted i was told they were 8.5J and were the real RS6 alloys not repilcas. They are rubbing on my arches when I go over bumps or have any weight in the back and are wider than the arches!
I have the arches rolled a bit, and a slight camber but they still do it.
I am now thinking of going down to 18's but what size tyres would be best?
225 or 235?
35 or 40

Any help would be great!

Cheers

Nick

I have moved your post to the correct model forum, genuine RS6 rims are ET20 offset, and you need ET45 or similar, no wonder the poke out of the arches!

On 18's you want 225/40/18 (cheap size also). On 19's you should ideally run 225/35/19 (not a cheap size).

It'll be the offset that's the issue rather than the diameter.

Yeah the genuines just stick out too far! Bet the car doesnt handle too well on them either?
