Been using Gyeon bathe+ and I don't like it. Always leaves streaks on the body work.

Want something with a nice smell, lots of suds and no streaks.

Brought a few bits from auto finesse and been impressed with the quality. Anyone used there shampoo?

I use Meguiars snowfoam followed by Autoglym shampoo, always happy with the results, although it doesn't give loads of suds.

@Raiden just to let you know that I have the regular (non plus) version of Bathe and it works fine. I had read Plus streaks so avoided it. I assume the boosted Si02 is what causes the streaks.

Just a thought about the streaks. With Gyeon Wetcoat you have to be careful to very thoroughly rinse and dry the car or there's a risk of streaking. I wonder if the same is true for the shampoo?

Also have Bilt Hamber Autowash which works well but is not very sudsy. Dilution ratio makes it very economical.

I've just ordered some Optimum No Rinse for the summer.

I've gone for the auto finesse banana shampoo. Not been disappointed with there stuff so far and it's made in the U.K.

I might pop by halfords for that meguiers gold. I'll use that on my family's cars and the odd car I do on the side.

Just tried the new Autoglym HD shampoo. It had input from some of the guys from detailingworld during concept and testing I believe. Seems pretty good so far, but it washes my car and it looks clean. Not much else you can say about it really. :)

Do you know how it compares to Megs Ultimate Car Wash - curious as I was considering a switch?

Ultimate is good, but does streak if too much is used.

    For Snowfoam....

    Demon Foam. No seriously!
    344975.jpeg
Yes its cheap (Usually around £10 for 2 litres) but it smells great - I know some of you have delicate noses :haha: It also has a great level of foam, and its sticky so does a good job of pre cleaning. I use with a power wash and a generic (i.e. Fleebay lance) But you can also buy it with a hose pipe attachment for non-pressure wash use.

For hand washing I use Gtechniq G-Wash

Just taken delivery of Angelwax Enigma; been using Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner of late - honestly, think it's pretty naff (reasonable enough slip but terrible for suds) but went with the brand on cost/accessibility/bundled in with the car (wifes)...prior to that I'd used Megs Gold Class on all previous cars.

Should have tried out Enigma by Sunday evening on both cars (one with AG LifeShine and one with Gtechniq C1)

Went with Angelwax and Gtechniq maintenance products rather than Bilt Hamber only down to recommendation by the detailer; may get Bilt Hamber to try for the hell of it, the snow foam and Kerrosol was really good to use

I'm Gutted that zymol seems to have vanished, not only from the shelves of Halfords but even quite difficult to get online too.
Been using megs gold class instead.

And hello all, my first post in about a year!!!

I've used AG shampoo conditioner ever since I got a supply with the AG Lifeshine application on my Audi. It does the job perfectly well for my requirements. I ran out once and used Zainos instead on the recommendation of my local detailer and was very impressed with it. Once the Zainos ran out I went back to AG. It does the job for me.

I've just used Bilt-Hamber AutoWash for the first time, was going to do a review but to be honest it's probably better to put it in here. Blows away anything I've used before - no way I'm going back now!

Previously swore by Meg's Gold Class, then had a bottle of Britemax (I think - purple, comes with a little measuring section in the spout?) which did the job, nothing more nothing less.
I then went over to Carbon Collective Lusso which I've had for about 18months, it was ok but very low foaming - not always a bad thing - and whilst it felt slick, I seemed to use loads - barely getting round the car with the one bucket.
Recently got hold of a very small bottle of Bilt-Hamber AutoWash (250ml or something!) and gave it a go for the first time today. WOW!
1tsp is the recommended dose for a large bucket, so it's super-concentrated; but be warned, it's also very thin so it pours much easier than many shampoos (my bucket may have received around 1.5tsp before I could stop! :whistle2:)
I always pour into a couple of inches of water (learned the hard way that certain shampoos just stick to the side of the bucket sometimes), and I then swirled the grit guard around to agitate. Once the bucket was filled, I had a nice thick head of suds and super slick water. Now this stuff is straight-to-the-point, no-frills product, so it is almost odourless, clear and in plain packaging. But my word, how it performs!
My Microfibre Madness wash mitts just got more and more foamy, and I did the car twice round with less than half a bucket. Slick, as well as foamy, and so easy to swipe across the car. I won't be going back!
Oh and again, PLEASE be gentle with this stuff if you try it - a SMIDGEN goes a very long way!
10/10 hands down the best I've tried.

Currently I am now using Autoglyms UHD Shampoo with the two bucket method and I find it extremely good. You only need 4 capfuls and it produces great results smells nice.

I bought Garry Deans Perfect Soap as it's recommended to be one of the best....no not so perfect imho.
I had had a five litre megs gold class which was brilliant and lasted about 7 years, every time I cleaned the car with it someone would comment on how good it looked, guess I'll be going back.

Ok this is an old thread only brought to my attention by its resurrection today. :D
Suds(and smell lol) bear no relation to cleaning ability, and it is only the latter that matters.
With that in mind Bilt Hamber Auto Wash should be the go-to choice for car shampoo. :thumbs up:

Car shampoos....l aint one for getting the Syringe out and measuring the exact amount to squeeze out into a bucket, used dozens of them l go through a lot of shampoo in a year...3 cars to wash......going to stick my neck out and say Fairy Liquid....lol, stopped using it this last year thinking the grass was cleaner on the other side...lol but its not seriously now
in the past 9 months l have used Gloss works=does'nt clean that easily...but leaves a lovely finish,Angelwax basic shampoo=really good value....but not enough slip,Angelwax self drying shampoo great for washing yer car when the sun is about,Gyeon Bathe= bloody expensive and really deep cleaning, too deep it'll wear yer LSP down fast,Angelwax Enigma shampoo used it once sold it on....goes flat as a witches boobs ....probably even flatter..lol never used Megs shampoo...dont like the brand at all....very overpriced,Autoglym UHD Shampoo again great product too expensive,Gtechniq Gwash is probably my fave....it's kind to yer LSP and also cleans very well.

Again l think you need a few shampoos in yer detailing satchel depending on the time of year

yet to come across a cr*p CarPro product, but then haven't used their panel wipe.
Tend to use Slims who sell it, or CarPro themselves. As said before, Perl is very good product, have only used on Black engine trim so far, but can be used for all sorts.
