Hello!

My first post, so apologies if it's in the wrong place! I've got a problem with my A4 B6 where the left side parking/side lights aren't coming on, at all.

I've narrowed it down to the CECM which is part number 8E0 907 279D
So my module is the "low-line" module, which I didn't know at first so I accidentally bought the E module off eBay which of course wouldn't work correctly in my car... However the left lights came on which is a good sign!

So after a bit of googling I found the following are "low-line" 8E0 907 279, 8E0 907 279A, 8E0 907 279C, 8E0 907 279D

Am I able to replace my D module with any of these parts? I'm struggling to find another D part... I've looked on the bay and even gone to some local scrap yards but nothing... It does seem mine has been replace before as it's got a 2006 date on but my car is from 2003!

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you! :)

Sounds like it just needs coding properly. On my car the full beam flash didn't work, once coded properly it did.

Hi Mate,

Don't think it's the coding as a little while ago it was buzzing then had another issue where the left lights would be permanently on. But now don't come on at all!
Annoyingly a highline cecm won't work in lowline car without modifications to the wiring (I don't have the time right now to mess about with it). I have tried recoding and re-adapting in VCDS anyway but no luck!

Just need to know if I can out a C module in instead of trying to get a D one

Hi, just to update, got the part and it fixed my issue! As it was the low-line module it doesn't look like it needed any coding (a bit of a pain as I had bought VCDS for it!)

That's good that is fixed. You'll be able to use VCDS for other things, if your good with it you can make some easy cash with it.
