What Oil?

Hi folks,had a few problems with my A3 1.9 tdi recently and today my oil sensor showed up on the dash display.Checked the oil there and it needs topped up.
Had the turbo changed recently and the oil was replaced then with a long life oil.Do i need to use the same oil or can i pick up and oil at a local garage to top up with?If so which one do i need to use for my car?

If it's an emergency you can use any oil, but since you have the choice you must use the right oil, which unfortunately for you is expensive. I can't remember the exact grade of oil you need, but i'm sure someone will be along soon to tell you.

I checked my oil last night and not a drop. Just paid £63 for oil, filter and new washer from a VAG specialist. The car is a 1.9 TDI. Does this sound good value for money?

If its a good oil it sounds like you've paid the right money.
