what is the insp light on the millage counting clock that flashes up before start! i literally just finish one problem and another comes up? is this a service indicator? do i have to reset it via vag com?

Its the normal service indicator telling you the car is due an inspection service, once serviced the garage/dealer will reset the service indicator so that it reminds you again in 10000 miles when it is due another service.
The owners manual tells you how you can re-set the indicator youself (if you do a DIY service for example)
