Right long story to short. I own a A6 C6 Avant 3.0tdi quattro tiptronic.
Had a few issues with my tiptronic. Finally stopped and won't drive in forward or reverse.
Could it be a fault in the transmission or torque converter???
Anyways, I've begun searching
for a used replacement with the plan to get mobile and then strip mine for a rebuild. Mine according to the list in the boot is a hkg. I can only find one hkg available in Germany.
What is the the differences between a hkg and say a hzr transmission? One used part dealer has said the ratios are different internally. I would think Audi may change the centre diff ratios but nothing actually in the main transmission.
Any ideas?
