So today I have washed and cleaned inside and out the old bus and It is looking spanking again after a few weeks of non-cleaning it had become a very grubby old bus.
Made a spot decision to change the alloys again, so, the veemans will be going, i do like them but I still hanker after something else so hopefully about to do a deal on something else.

If you install B5 spring perches on the front suspension then it should take care of the reverse rake.Cant stop buying alloys ,it’s becoming a problem..just stitched myself into a set of 19” 3sdm 0.06.Everybtime I buy some I justify it by saying I’m gonna sell a set but can’t bring myself round to it .Very seriously thinking of buying some eibach pro springs for the rear to level out the reverse rake I still have with the sportlines ,it’ll also give me a bit more room for all these different tyres sizes that keep turning up on wheels I buy

For the love of baby Jeebus Rob, it's Crimbo day. Haven't you got a single malt and put your feet up, just for the once?
Dirt will wait for tomorrow.

I was bored by 10.00am and there's only me and the good wife, well, and the woofers so a low key Xmas to be honest. For the love of baby Jeebus Rob, it's Crimbo day. Haven't you got a single malt and put your feet up, just for the once?

I'm still trying to get to this setup, hopefully with the new bilsteins and a set of D2's I may get close.

I was £100 short of doing a deal on air ride a few weeks ago ,didn’t think I could justify the price this close to Xmas ..thoughts on air ride anyone ?

IMO the holy grail short of an rs4 , gorgeous wheels,20s fitment for a daily is the issue on an already lowered car ...hindsight’s a beautiful thing

Quite an expensive outlay for Air and not really sure its worth doing it, well all down to personal choice but a lot of other non air setups are very good
They didn't , the 19" ones are all aftermarket, audi went from 18" to 20" for some bonkers reason..lolYour good self lead me to believe Audi didn’t make this rim in a 19 ?

I've had the 18" version and the 19" ones , the 18" nice but look a bit chunky , the 19" look much better due to lower tire sidewall and longer spokes.
The 20's are soo much better though , nice long slender spokes which really compliment the B7 chassis especially the avants.
It is a matter of getting the right tyre sizing, I'm thinking 245/35 20 but its still 5-7mm taller than with 19" 235/35.
235/30 20 is all most spot on the same as 235/35 19" but not sure a 30 sidewall is ideal on our rubbish roads, by using the B14 bilstiens i will get the ride height spot on and ride quality will be as good but just concerned about rim damage in pot holes etc.
As soon as I bought my old bus it was a financial disaster..lolYep - had 35 profile tyres on one of my Calibras (with 18s) - forever getting punctures - usually in the (minimal) sidewall so writing the tyres off each time! Reckon the sidewall is too narrow & allows a 'pinching' action between road & rim when hitting a pothole. Look great but a financial disaster.........

Sometimes I do wonder...Yes. Indeed. Worth it though..........
I'm sitting on the fence this evening , I was going to do the deal on the S8's but then I thought will I be stuck trying to sell the 19" veemans with there nearly new tyres, I may struggle to sell them and don't want to be buying more alloys and not offload what I have, let alone letting them go for silly cheap money...
you mean this one, doesn't really matter now as I've aborted the 20"s, I'll stick with what I have and they are great anyway, sometimes it's easy to loose track and then mess it all up by changing.

just make sure the washer are fully functioning Alex, after a few years they tend to fail , well they pop out to wash but don't fully retract and you have to push them back in by hand.
