You can fix my wine cooler then Dan, it's not cool any more.:sob:

Mine stopped cooling too, I had it sat next to the kitchen radiator and wondered why it kept beeping at me.

I'm more a Space Invader man myself.
Good investment.

Well, not so much what have done today, more like over the last 3 weeks.
On my way home a couple of weeks back my EPC warning light came on so called in into see the guy that service's my car, plugged it in came back possible throttle body issue.
Over the next few days, the light was on and off.
So I get the call saying yep ya need a new one :sorry: not good :disrelieved::disrelieved::disrelieved::disrelieved: and 4 new tyres so its been a very very expensive few weeks :disrelieved:

Just steam cleaned my intake manifold, in situ.
I litre of potassium hydroxide mix/steam straight up through the ASV for 30 mins, 2000rpm, warm engine.
I didn't have anything coming out of the exhaust, unlike many videos I've seen, not sure if it's a good thing or not.
Did it work? I have absolutely no idea. But was a damn sight cheaper than paying a company to do a carbon clean with what amounts to water, and a scan.

Lesson learnt do not try to reprogram instrument cluster by your self . I have fuxkup big time . Now it appears I have blanks original dash and the replacement RS4 B7 dash . I have no idea how to repair it . Cars now stuck at GF house . Swapped the dash over and it goes into safe mode tried to read it and immobiliser has incorrect numbers . Time to get specialist on the case with vagcom I think oh and another dash

How tricky is the bumper to get off? Mine is pretty misaligned.

One new steering knuckle, two front wheel bearings, new brake hoses and new track rod ends.
Coolant system next on the list, there is a small leak from rear coolant flange and think thermostat might be on the way out so might be good time to get that done too.

That's awesome! Wish I had space in the man cave for one of them mortal combat as well, mrs would never see me, my last bit of space was just taken up by the motorbike, felt bad leaving her out in the rain all she does is make me money so least I could do lol.

The clear corner mod is such a worthwhile one, a shame it was'nt standard from the start of B7 production still just another Audi thing, really does take years of the car, glad you like the look Alex. :thumbs up:

I just fixed my own car after weeks of ******* around, if you got an RB4 dash you can probably use VCDS depending on what you wanna do, but VCDS can’t do anything with an RB8 dash.
I bought an Abrites clone to fix mine, previous owner threw the old dash away and put in a used one so I had no login pin from either the old or the new dash. Abrites can find the pin luckily, but had to buy a new transponder for the key as well cause no key dump was saved from the old one. There’s plenty more to the story and the fix, but you get the idea, VCDS could be useless in your case

yes I’ve ordered the Abrites clone as well so fingers crossed !!! I do have the RB8 dash and I also found out that the Rs4 dash has 12 bit security and the std colour one has 7bit but they are interchangeable . According to the abrites user Manual lol use proper sit for that !!! I thank peg 58 -62ish lol too much time on my hands

Cleaning today. Only a 2 bucket wash with a bit of clay bar but then used Meguires Ceramic Wax.
d0f43f39842859bba3fb4f108aa94d7a.jpg

It was very easy to use but did leave an almost greasy residue at the end. So spent a little more time with a soft cloth trying to polish it. Still a fair bit of residue which makes it dull in places but possibly due to me using too much and it’s a superb product overall and resulting in mirror finish.

Overall however I have zero swirl marks and the paint feels very smooth. I’ll have another go tomorrow with some quick detail and soft cloth to see if I can get it all mirror finish. I have discovered a few more age related scrapes etc but then shes 11 years old now.

She continues to make me very happy.
