Good job , are they oem Sachs or Sachs Super Touring ?

They are not Super Touring, but for sport chassis.
What difference that makes between normal chassis and sport I don't know. My thoughts are they are for the OEM lowering springs, which lowers the car -20mm'ish

When I did the rear suspension I noticed the brake lines are corroded.

Already bought new hoses, but I'm worried about the fitting on the hard line..
Found the oem number and it's 8e0611 741 and 742R

Looks like they ar one complete line all the way from the ABS block

Isn't there an easier way?
To flare the steel line is hard to do, I read somewhere.
Is there a fitting somewhere underneath the car?

I've read that it's necessary to lower the gastank, exhaust and so on.. quite another PITA

A4 b6 1.9tdi PD130 stage 1 APR REMAP full stainless steel decat exhaust, took the original air box and filter completely off from the MAF sensor and fitted a cone filter turbo chatter at low revs is loud sounds really good and low down torque and acceleration is brilliant not sure if the chatter is harmful but love it anyway !!!

Did look at dark side as they specialise in the A4 b6 1.9tdi intercooler kit and EGR delete kit but again was £300 for intercooler and eve kit was extra once I'm sorted will spend some money, have seen you can get 300bhp from my spec engine !!!

Yes by fitting a big laggy turbo , I'd rather have the ridiculous flexibility I have now on std remapped turbo , AVF 6 speed , pulls up a hill in 5th gear at 30mph in town with very little throttle input .

I'd say on a 1.8t you could make 300bhp without much lag but for a 1.9tdi any turbo making more than 230bhp is only really good for the drag strip.

I've got a bigger side mount intercooler with all Darkside piping and MAF sensor if that's any good to you.

Would never run 300bhp was informed that it's possible, BLACK SMOKE GALORE for one thing and my audi is front wheel drive only so that I agree would only be good for the drag strip would like more power and the bigger side mounted intercooler is still an option but really want FMIC, for sure I definitely need new boost pipes uprated not standards.

It's possible, infact I wouldn't even say it's difficult if your budget permits but we're just saying it won't make a good car around town due to the amount of lag, bigger side mount is good for around 230bhp, but a bigger displacement diesel engine would make a better base for big usable horsepower unless it's purely going to be for the drag strip.

I've wondered if you could dual compound a TDI using an electric supercharger but those things are not cheap! (I'm talking the http://www.aeristech.co.uk/electric-supercharger/ type) key restriction being money and sizing things to make it worth while.

I love my V6 TDI and will be pushing it up early next year - few more mods to make first though.

Experiencing overboost and
limp mode, I thought I had tightened the turbo wastegate too much causing the problem. I set to removing everything to get to the turbo and adjust the wastegate but it didn't seem to be off much if at all. Having set my mind at rest that it was correct I started reassembly then found this little "B"

Difficult to see in the pic but it has a major split on the tightest bend. Wish I had noticed before removing the exhaust manifold, ah well it's done now.

Removed the HID conversion kit and replaced the bog standard H7 bulbs and I'm glad to say it's an improvement. I don't know how or why the HID's have got so poor but there out now so good riddance.

Because HID’s in halogen projector is a bad combination.
And the quality of the HID’s in these conversion kits

Removed the pcv valve, this had already been replaced this year with a used one I had as a spare but it’s time is up.

Part number of the replacement:

The new one was difficult to draw air through but the old one was really easy, it hadn’t failed completely but it would only be a matter of time.
As yet I’ve not driven the car but I’m sure all will be well.

It’s blow by gas which is normal in some amount. But this seems to excessive..

So I’m thinking piston rings of valve seals

Oil and filter change, Quantum Longlife III. The new Fuchs stuff, I love the way an engine pulls after nice fresh oil, nice and smooth. The old oil was the Castrol Quantum III.

Any one can tell me if it’s normal with the amount of blow by?
Tried removing the oil filler cap on a MB Sprinter 319 CDI and it puffed vapours out as well, but not as violently as my PD

Had my rear done .... rear hatch that is, due to some rust issues just below the window/screen.
I installed the “kill all wipers” kit a few month ago, and have a kit for the new rear window.

But I’m in doubt if I want to install the KAW kit again or go back to having the rear wiper installed.

The window is new, and I’m concerned that the wiper will scratch the window at the first stroke.

Then I came across the Aero wiper, from the B8, and it looks like it’s plugnplay...
I know that any wiper will scratch the window sooner or later...

Any thoughts?

KAW kit?
OEM wiper?
Newer wiper (B8)?

And, any thoughts on what causes the rust at that spot? Wiper fluids leaking or just weather through 14 years?
