According to Haynes:
Brown/blue is +

88 is front bass

Better change it tomorrow then...
Hopefully nothing bad happened, as I played a bit loud on my way home today

I'm sitting right now changing the rear door lock.. Before getting to far, I connected the new one and opened and closed the door.. Nothing happens..
Do I new VCDS to learn the new component? Or is the new lock faulty?

Nice soundproofing, wonder how many db's you've lost? Have just rewound sticky drivers side rear caliper, just needs some new pads and a general clean up, so all good, maybe reclaim a couple of mpg's now.

Just clocked 184k today still going strong, also treated the old girl to a new needle lift sensor which has made a noticeable difference in performance and mpg thank god!
I've just had new needle lift sensor this week & rocker cover gasket. I'll keep an eye on my mpg too then.

Also had airbag light fixed - removed plug & hardwired under seat.

Had alloy wheels skimmed/ground as they were oxidised & tyres have been deflating on 3 of them

Put the old 17's back on, removed the front grills ready for it's front and rear end respray and wheel refurb this week. I can see it going up for sale the week after as I have my eye on a B8 Dynamic.

Mattyboy, post me your alloys whilst you've got them off your motor :p

Crazy thing is..the 17's look tiny on our B6's in photos but in reality they dont actually look that bad. I know, i had the exact ones.

They only look small when you put 20's on, which I cant imagine Matt doing :p

Ooh no, 20's look great but I still need to use mine as a wagon now and then, to be honest I'm quite happy with the stance but would like a slightly lower ET to push the wheels out a little more, I have run spacers in the past but could never stop the wheel wobble so took them off.

Totally understandable and a wise choice. Ah yes..the wheel wobble! I hate it. Happens to me when cornering. As a result of the massively heavy 20inch reps ive got, I would only recommend the real McCoy and a suspension upgrade like you! Luckily ive just bought the originals in 19's ET 33 baby haha

ET 33, i bet that's bag on, on the rears, how do the fronts sit?, I always reckoned 33 rear and 35 front was the ideal set up.

Man, when i saw ET 33 on a B6 i fell in love. It does look bang on the money. Pics below with the exact same wheels ive got, 19's, 9j ET33. I havent fit them just yet but hopefully should look something like this..

Started my sound deadening project with the bonnet:
Oem removed, stp black magic and stp hoodliner added, oem back on to cover the poor finish

Leftovers were used under the engine cover...

no concerns with trapping heat in?

Today I got off my *** and fitted the wiper stalk with dis and coded it to work..
Took me a bit of time as I never done this but got it all working well..
Here are some pics of the work..

hi folks, done a few bits to the audi today. ive painted the chrome strip that sits on top of the bumper black. refitted my body coloured mirriors, got bored of the s4 ones, and the lower section that the painter painted antracite. ive also changed the was that audi fitted the arch liners to the lower tray and front splash guards. ive used captive nuts and black bolts same with the bumper to lower splash tray.

Well a while back I swapped my plain leather steering wheel for the same type but with the sline badge, and now I have just swapped it again for a perforated sline version which now matches the gear knob.....might sell the other sline one soon I think

You'll need a double din cage. I got one from eBay..
It already comes with the heater slot in the right place to have the double din. Ashtray still works fine and a bit of room left to put papers like notes..
If you're going to fit it yourself you'll need to remove the whole centre console in order to get to the single din cage and swap it.

Cheers buddy. So the heater controls just fit lower down? No need to buy another unit?

No.. It goes straight into place. No need for a new unit.. Just the cage really..
The only thing is the lower part of the centre console is tighter than the place where it's currently fitted.. So. It'll need a bit if persuasion but it will fit.. Or you can always shave a bit of plastic..
I know I found a guide but I can't remember if it was here or another forum..
