Nice mod, I did power fold a while ago, bit disappointed that they don’t auto fold off ignition or key.

I’m gonna look into that. Already ordered a smart module for power fold on eBay/China..

Also gonna check VCDS.. I already have found “secret” adaptions in other modules..

Today I finally did The Sai delete, n249 bypass and pcv simplification.
So much tidier now I know there are mixed reviews on this but I’ve done it to past Audi’s and always felt better
While I was there I checked the rear coolant temp sensor and found a green terminal so replaced that (my gauge has never read more than 70 and kept getting a fuel trim error) and also checked the pug on the thermostat plug and found that one was even worse.
It broke off when I was removing it so I took the housing off and realised there isn’t even a thermostat in there so replaced that too.
The car now heats up so much quicker, is more responsive and all errors gone.
Lastly I fitted a decat ready for my custom exhaust that is being made in the morn.
Cant wait a satisfying days work

Sometimes it was as low as 32 mpg (that was driving really gently) however it did need spark plugs as well, I tried NGK BKR6E in it as they seem to have a good review. I never felt that they gave any real improvement so I put NGK PFR6Q in and it's much better now.

Mine needs doing and the heads been rounded. How did you remove the rest of the bolt once you'd drilled the head off?

I pulled the plastic filter holder up over the remains of the screw and used a pair of vice grips to turn the screw out, it wasn't hard to turn as it screws into plastic so it's not as if it's seized or anything.
I just used a cable tie to secure the new filter as I was too lazy to go and find a replacement screw plus cable ties don't rust.
When changing the filter connections make sure you push it towards the filter before pressing the button to release.

    Not today..
But over that last couple of days...

Powerfold side mirrors and auto dimming mirrors
    Heated steering wheel

My god those are some great upgrades..
The side mirrors dim perfectly when light comes from behind.
It’s so nice not having blinding lights coming from the sides..

And, steering wheel becomes lukewarm just after a minute or so.. Not some freezing cold leather to hold on to.

My god I love my car right now

Took her to work this morning for a wash, home, whipped out the glovebox to have a look see why the demister wasnt working, looks like the motor needs freeing up or something so put it back together without that motor fitted as my mates mrs is borrowing the car this evening.
Plenty more to do but wont be doing it as its now raining (glad I washed her...)

I’ve had the same problem, took the motor out and gave it a bucket load of release lube followed by white grease.
Has worked for another 6 months but I’m sure il have to replace sooner or later

I took the nearside washer jet out and redirected it so it actually hit the windscreen. It's a pain to do as you have to lift the bonnet, remove the washer jet and redirect the jets, clip it back in and close the bonnet to test it.Several attempts before I had success.

Finally got round to doing the cat delete, got the pipes from Darkside and it was a simple straight forward swap, just got to get the center piece replaced now for a complete stainless system.

Dropped my recently acquired S4 cabriolet off for a full service and the coolant temperature sensor to be replaced, no easy job on an S4 apparently, so preparing to break out the Kleenex when I pick it up.

I used the “ do it as fast as you can and get back in the house method “ lol

It gives me an electrical boost and +1000bhp...

No it’s a plug-in for the Defa heater element. So I’ll avoid cold starts, and have a warm cabin within minutes.

It’s almost invisible, so I’m glad

Ok so not the biggest or tidiest modification but I couldn't find a factory phone holder for my Sony Xperia and I was damned if I was buying an iphone6s and paying £120+ for the only holder I could find to fit the factory monstrosity sticking out of my dash. Nor did I want to remove it and leave two gaping holes in the side of the centre console. So I got a Brodit phone holder from my Xperia and took the front off of the factory fitting and screwed the holder to it and put it back. Clearly it probably looks worse without my phone it but I was using that to take the photo. You can tilt or swivel the phone to adjust the view or angle. When the phone is in there at least it covers most of the old factory fitting and it gives me somewhere to put my phone rather than sliding around in the car. :thumbs up:

Ps. also ordered an Xtrons Android head unit today to replace the Symphony II shown in the photo.

Went under the car, as I’ve experienced a constant hissing sound correlated to revs/accelerating..
    Never had it before...
Don’t know if it’s noticeable on the video

Don’t know if this is the culprit.. it has been loose for quite a while.. don’t know if it’s even more loose know..
Nothing happened when revving the car, except it tightened in.. didn’t feel a leak,. But car wasn’t under load.. only revving while parked

I looked at replacing my front lower control arms but the weather was against me so I fitted my new rear shocks and called it a day. :grinning:

I actually did this on Tuesday when my unit arrived not today, the finish is a bit shiny compared to the standard Audi plastic but I can live with it, I guess I'll have to, just need to learn how to use it properly now! :grinning: Xtrons HU.JPG

Roll the window down, jamb a piece of 2x2 softwood at the striker pin then push the door frame top corner in, shouldn’t take too much to do.
It will never be perfect as the door hinge has been like that for some time causing the door frame to bend because of the misalignment.

Have had some brake judder when braking from 100 kph and down.. Cotrol arms are new, springs and dampers and brakes and pads..
It all came down to the rubber grommets the slider pins sits in..
I only changed them in one side..
Did the other side as well, and the judder disappeared..
So they are quite important to change in pairs.

They still have some judder, so I’ll be taking them to mechanic with a brake lathe.

They are almost new, changed them about two month ago.. Could be they have been slightly warped, breaking with worn sliders.

Last thing to be changed, is the inner tie rod, but then I would experience shaking without breaking also
