Finally went looking for the cause behind a vibration between 80-90mph. Changed the 2 back wheels hoping it was just a buckled alloy and thankfully it was! have her sitting on odd alloys for the moment until I get it sorted!

Hi there fellas..
I finally found some s4 carriers for my upgrade and I wanted to put brembo rotors and pads.
The thing is I don't know where or get them. I'd prefer some drilled and grooved rotors. But if can't some plain ones will do.

Fitted billet injector cups and a phenolic spacer to my 1.8t bfb quattro cabriolet. It had visible blow by around the injectors.
Reported inlet temps through torque app on the rnse android are about 10 ~15°c lower than previous and mpg is up about 5mpg.

Broke down! ****** injector pump tensioner failed after my full timing belt & IP belt replacement last year. 4hr wait for flatbed recovery to home then straight under to replace. Just what you need after a nightshift! Still haven't got the injection timing right either...

Wasn't sure if they fit the bex, but then remembered they dont get that engine over there, so guessing mine will still be small port?

I gave them my engine code / injector part number and they told me which ones to buy.
Expect some import tax but they come as a complete kit with hexagon drive and sealant.

Drafted up this cup holder and then 3D printed it. It sits in the coin/pocket next to the cigarette lighter.

This is version one so hopefully get it to look more oem and will paint it grey or maybe cover with fabric.

I took the plunge and ordered some new shoes for Missy a few weeks ago. All the bits finally arrived last week so I was able to get them fitted over the weekend. My main concern was potential rubbing, but so far so good!

Before (2003 Avant 1.9 TDI Sport with 16 inch wheels):
Audi b6 old

Now:
Audi b6 19x2 Audi b6 19x3 Audi b6 19x6 Audi b6 19x7

Wheels: RS5 Replicas (19x8.5J ET32) on OEM Sport suspension
Tyres: Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 235/35/R19 91W XL

Treated my beater to a new crankcase breather set as it was idling anywhere between 900 and 2000 rpm and generally spluttering a lot. There was a totally shattered pipe in there and the valve had failed in the open position.

While I was in there and had the throttle body off I gave it a clean out, then did the throttle body forget-about-Driving-Miss-Daisy-reset.

Holy sheet! Feels like nearly 190 horses again!

Got a new header tank cap too as I was losing coolant through evaporation, and a gallon of G12 to prep for winter.

And I washed it and rubbed the dog slobber off the windows. And it has new tyres.

Should be good for another few years abuse now.

You will definitiely not have any rub issues on stock suspension with your current set up.

I was previously on 20x9 with 265/30/20 so bigger in everyway and still no rubbing at all.

Ok a lot more than a few ..... think I went through the list at least twice.

The pedal rubbers have a lip around the rear that just sits over the pedal very tightly. I used the heat gun to make the rubber a bit more pliable, the brake & clutch were kinda easy to put on the throttle was a bitch due to it's curve & slight tapper.

Yeah, I think my fears were stoked by some of the 19 inch wheels in the B6 Audizine Wheel thread indicating varying degrees or rubbing without realising that the bulk of them were on significantly lowered suspension.

Yes, I too have read the same thing. But rest assure on OEM suspension, you can pretty much do what you like as long as the ET of the wheel isnt to low or high of course

Haha!

Oh great, thanks for the detailed description! I do eventually want to do this but couldnt figure out how the pedals were physically on as they all looked like a one piece. I can imagine me using a heat gun and compleletely melting the plastic pedal off! *looks up at sky*

I was down to two weak jets of water for the window washers because of a leaking pipe at the bonnet hinge, I replaced it with 4 mm silicon hose from the pump all the way to the jets, none of this join it together shenanigans!
It was simple enough to do, headlight out, top part of the tank off, reach down and pull the pump out, remove the OE pipe off the pump, connect the new silicone pipe then connect the other end of the silicon pipe to the OE pipe and pull it gently towards the bonnet hinge using the OE pipe. All OE connectors stayed intact so they were used again. Same idea with the pipe through the bonnet to the jets, now I have four good strong jets of water to clear the screen, just before winter sets in!

Well if you call that hard work? If I wanted to do that it would take about two minutes if I dragged it out.

Wow two minutes if you dragged it out, is that making the brackets to hold them probably or just the usual hot glue lash up.?

Seen this on past forums and not noticed a thread like this on here.
Basically whatever you have done to your b6 today stick it up on here. Washed it, fixed it, modded it, looked at it, took it somewhere...so on.
Anyone??
New fuel filter and a uprated fuel pump

You might remember a few months back after I done the dis retrofit I installed the washer bottle level sensor.
Since then I've been waiting for this little warning to show up.
And yesterday it finally came. Hard work paid off..

Any ideas? Anyone tried this??

Plan is to take down the left side and perhaps also the rooflines..

I've run a wire through the left hinge for a RVC..
Or else it could be the left roof rack sealing?

Well it was the rear roof rack sealing, seems right when you see the moisture..
Took the time to sound deaden the roof, and get it painted as I got some rust at the base of the roof rack..
before, oem deadening
b7d13956d2b1a57827a68d50aabd231d.jpg

Now, the middle part actually also got some deadening after this picture

Absolutely devastated.
After a good fight with the carriers bolts, which I won BTW, tried my s4 calipers put the wheel back on and had about 5mm clearance.. Give or take.
So I decided to try the calipers with the rotors. Put the rotors on. Fine.
Secure them so they don't fall on me and grabbed the calipers..
Here's where s*** went downhill.
Before the carriers reaches the mounting holes the carrier hits the rotor, which means the bloke that sold me those as s4 carriers for 345mm rotors either tricked me or didn't know what he had.
My guess is they are for 320mm rotors.
Back to hunting carriers again..
Anyone knows how to spot the difference between 320mm and 345mm carriers?

c9e9c8e4cd7c62265251cc14498ee15d.jpg

Rotors on.. Got so mad after this I even forgot to snap the clearance with the wheel on..
