Fitted facelift light switch. Made a huge difference. A steal from eBay for £15.

Such a rubbish day to be working on the car but it had to go in.
Don't know why the hell the battery box cover is screwed down with so many bolts.
1hr later, everything back so happy days.

Excellent work by Jack @ Royal Steering Wheels. Love it, feels so good.

:wtf: you didn't take the wheel off??

I guess it may helpful to be able to move the car around in neutral.

I'm more impressed that it wasn't done in a garage or covered space with the weather we are having. Took me an hour to get steering off and back on, can't imagine how long this would take.

No need to take out parts that don't need to be removed for the job :)

It was done outside my shop as I knew I had a quiet day that day. All good fun :)

She's sitting pretty again now :)

Fitted cruise control after having the parts lying around for ages. Job not finished as it needs coding. Waiting for @DJAlix to get back to me

Tinted, fitted chrome wing mirrors, retrofitted a s-line front bumper and bi-xenon headlights with accompanying headlight washers and auto levelling system. A S-line tailgate/roof spoiler was fitted a week ago as well.
Hey, I was hoping you could point me in the right direction for adding bi-xenon's with the headlight washer and als system ? Thanks man :)

Hey,
Choose the headlights suitable for your car (LHD or RHD as they are different).
ALS system (choose the right one for your vehicle year and headlight type: https://www.kufatec.de/shop/en/audi...ing-headlights-retrofit-audi-a3-8p-8pa-cabrio
On headlight washer system: http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/8p3-headlight-wash-retrofit-thread.234208/
If you don't have a front bumper with cut outs for the headlight washers, you'll need to buy a new one too. I chose S-line instead of SE one.

well..finally had time to install the puddle lights that I received from Robin over a year ago. Install was a complete breeze thanks to his R&D. Took about 30 min each door. The worst part was the puddle cutout. The soldering took 2 minutes. The cutout 20. Really happy with the result. I put the quattro puddle lights in front

Congrats! You made it :)
I've got the puddle lights in my door cards when I replaced the SE door cards with the S3 ones, but they don't work. Perhaps I needed to activate them, but I never had time for it. May be someday...

Well done. For me it was certainly the most time consuming mod.

Pedals_20171223_010.jpg

Aluminium S3 Pedals installed, such an easy mod that brings up the interior nicely.

Accelerator clip was such a finger killer getting it off. That grey latch was so hard to push down fully but once done you hear a click and the plug comes off.

For the clips on the bottom of the accelerator I used two radio keys taped together to remove the clip in the left hole which un-clipped easy enough. Excellent suggestion to use radio keys in this post: http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/how-to-fit-aluminium-s3-pedals.185270/

The right clip I used a flathead screwdriver in the hole and had to jiggle the pedal around for it to finally unclip.

Installation so much easier.

Also fit rubber front mats as I was getting sick of cleaning the normal mats from mud in this winter weather.

Gave the car a much needed wash and top up wax, wanted to get all the grit and **** off the car picked up during the snow days.

need some help people...I have installed the rear wheel well liners to my S3 bumper but am having trouble seeing how the lower portion of the liner attaches to the bottom portion of the bumper. I see a screw there but don't know how to attach. Any help would be appreciated
IMG_4742.jpg

Looking at the picture, I guess I should take the screw out and the piece may separate and then tuck the liner between the plastic and then put the screw back in. Any ideas?

Well with some help from the Q3 CC post i obtained 1 at rock bottom price from a dismantlers @ £12 so fitted that and then coded it in and seems to be working fine . Then as i was needing new brake discs i picked up 4 Genuine Brembos 345mm / 310mm again at a steal so these will be put on car later in 2018 .

Removed my generic Audi ebay metal tyre valve caps. Damn things were starting to bind had to use some needle nose pliers and a 12 wrench to remove one. All off now and back to plastic ones.

No photos but over the last 4 months i have had the following done;

EGR & DPF Blank along with a remap.
New clutch & DMF
Full service and drained the gearbox oil to put fresh in
4x new tyres
new wheel bearing (humming noise was really bad, although no play in wheel?)
new cv joint
new pads and discs all around

got a few things on my to do list over the next couple of months
replace both ball joints
replace both track rod ends
wheel alignment
alloy refurb (not sure what colour to go so any pictures would help)
respray of front end where the misses caught a kerb.

not sure whether to get some H&S Springs but being the S Line model i would need to springs that drop further but unsure on how low this would take the car and does it affect the ride at all? (pics would be appreciated)

Put in the fender flare and no more rub and no bumper kickout

That looks stunning. Really want some of them alloys to change my from my S Line ones.

Whats the difference between genuine and reps?

the reps are not L8AU color. They are slightly darker but still look good. The main issue I have with reps is the size. For some reason, reps in 19 love 8.5. OEM is 19 x 8. That width makes the 225 fit pretty flush and the 8.5 gives you stretch which I don't like visually. If you go for the reps then you may want 235 which can fit but the arch screws will be an issue hence the fender flare which was made for the RS3 to accommodate the increased size of the wheel

Love these wheels - they’re not reps are they? What is/are the fender flares? Sorry for my ignorance!
