Spent 3 hours de-de-chroming the grille. Well, un-black-wrapping it. To be honest I didn’t do a “proper” job, as I was unsure how all the trim pieces came apart, but judicious use of a scalpel and a hot air gun got the job done adequately. Looks a lot better to my eyes. Just got to go over it with some Goo-Gone then a quick wash. Also had the reversing camera fitted by a mobile fitter from Hazzydayz. That’s it until it gets to spend 3 days with Adam @ Refined Details for paint correction and ceramic coating. Oh, and I’ve got to source some Loctite 2422 so I can do the Racingline stud and nut conversion. That’s proving a challenge.

Just fitted my custom made spigot rings today. I'm running 8mm hubcentric spacers with a 6x45 chamfer which is too big for a normal spigot ring which only fits a 3x45 chamfer. I've very sensitive to vibrations and I won't accept my wheels to vibrate just the slightest so I made this to eliminate all vibrations because it's almost impossible to fit the wheels correct without a spigot ring.

So I got round to fitting the intercooler, not too bad a job, little fiddly ! Turns out my Audi used approved has previously been in an accident ! Nothing on history, audi never notice it apparently. They changed the waterpump before I collected the car so I'm not sure how they missed it ? It's gone back together ok and you can't tell it's there luckily, so downpipe fitted tomorrow and stage 2 map ready to go on

Fitted a K&N air filter and pressure washed the engine and engine bay. Washed the car and sorted the loose rear number plate.

Millions cars are fixed and they will not mention it's been in accident becuse ppl are too moaning like : ''oooh noot thaaatss CAT S nooo I doooon't waaant iit that's baaaad or making excuses to get it cheaper.. and damage of chassis in many cases is very little so audi perfectly knows about all accidents but if it is very very minor like mine (where is little piece of metal bended and it is cat S) audi won't mention it...Well , what can you do

I understand that...... it's leaving the damaged parts on that's annoying, they must have repaired the bumper so why not replace the crash bar ‍♂️ Anyway, everything lines up ok and looks right so I can live with it. On the plus side I've got my new map on and the scorpion downpipe. The neighbours are going to be ****** as the resonator is gone too

Over here in North America we have the crummy orange reflectors in the headlamps so I swapped to euro assemblies. So much better looking. Won’t be too exciting for most of the people on here though haha. Also have the euro tails on the way.

We have archaic laws that pertain to vehicle lighting that havent been updated in 50 years. We require amber reflectors up front which are side facing. Our crummy laws are reason our dynamic tails flash the brake light as well which ruins the whole idea. And to answer your question about the police, they wouldnt notice. It isnt something thats really well known so no it isnt a concern.

Got the washer jets from Brotek

https://brotek.co.uk/store/p54/Genuine_VAG_heated_fan_Washer_jets_.html

and after watching a couple of YouTube videos, swapped mine out in 5 minutes. Note; you will also need a T8 torx screwdriver to adjust the angle of the jets. Also, the water hose needs to be pushed firmly on before being clipped. First time the hose came off one of mine = no water spray!

Didnt know you could do that. I hate the 3 squirts of water, so annoying.
Do I need the spacers for the A3 2014 or no?
Did they come with all the clips and everything you need?

U lowered? Any quality springs u have? And did u change alloys or these are standard?

yes! I used ST Suspension 20mm springs, the alloys are standard (came with the car)

I’m having stage 2 work done next week too

Yours is an 8V so no spacers. You don’t need anything other than what’s shown, except maybe a plastic “spudger” to lever up the front edge to remove the existing ones, although in all honestly you can probably just tug the old ones out.
