What do you pay insurance wise?

But no one mentions the excess which can be fair old chunk of change and well worth considering.. Id rather pay a little more to have a sensible excess..

Kind of ancient here....anyway,£650 for 500+bhp and a long list of bits, from Greenlight.

2005 A3 2 Litre
27 years old, 1 year no claims, about £900 with The insurance line.....which is actually Swinton.......Which is actually Aviva.
Always strange trying to speak to anybody there, nobody really knows who to pass the buck over to.

Just renewed today on my 2008 s3
21 years old, 2 years NCB and was only £832 which I didn't think was that bad.

Mine was £908 with £500 excess or £1020 with £250 excess, rather pay £100 less now and maybe pay out £150 more at some point then pay over £100 more now and have a lower excess

S3 Stage2+ - 26 - 9 points - 6 years no claims - £650 with greenlight

Who are you guys with ? As theres some people here paying less than me, yet driving S3s, younger, points etc!

Ive only just checked insurance, as havent sold my bmw yet. Got to say im shocked at how much it is.

Currently on a 2001 330d sport (group 33) paying just under £600 fully comp.
Assumed 2004 A4 Tdi Sport (group 22) would be a bit less... Cheapest ive found is close to £700.

Im 30 in July, full clean license, 10 yrs or more ncb, no accidents etc. Not the greatest postcode, but not Beruit either!Parked off the road etc.
I used to pay £500 for a heavily modded 205 gti, with agreed value of 6k with Flux, and very similar for an import CRX SiR.
I was surprised the bmw was an increase, Flux wanted £800! So went with some company on good old Meerkat.

A3 3.2v6 quattro (04)and a Vw sharan 1.9tdi sport (55) parked on the drive with myself and wife insured for both cars £600 admiral multi car policy

It's not all down to the car, it's more on the postcode where you live.

I am 35, no points and full NCB and I pay £339....

I used postcode down bournemouth but still expensive. It is even worst if I insured the car in london.

Looking for renewal of car insurance next month. 37 years old, 8k mileage per year, fully comp, 4 years ncb. Around £500ish in mind this year.. Spoken to sky insurance yesterday and the quote is 700ish with one mod on( tinted windows). I have not done the mod yet. According to sky they are not v competitive with pricing for standard cars (without mods). Any recommendations pls?

2005 2.0T - 27, 3 years NCB, one non fault accident, 15k PA, Derbyshire postcode - £640 FC/250 excess with Admiral.

That's good, I'm paying £795 for my S3, all mods declared, in london on the street, 13 years ncb and 41 years old, wife on as a named driver and full business use as well.

I've just renewed through need to insure, who are you with?

DLine qouted me £660.00. SwiftCover seems 100 pound cheaper around £555..

A3 Sportback 2.0TFSi Sport, good postcode, 41 male, £485 with Business use with LV. Got slightly cheaper quotes but like dealing with LV as good price every year rather than having to move companies for introductory offer each year.

Was with halifax, but they bumped my premium up 400 to change the car to my 2002 130 TDi sport A3. So im leaving that policy on my focus for now.
Allianz, found via Go Compare. 31 yo, 3 years NCB, business use + SDP, gf 37 yo named driver. Self employed. £420.
When i moved to this address my insurance went up, i was with virgin, eventually they told me to add my partner as a named driver to reduce the premium by £100. Requoted this car with just me, was £100 dearer.

Just to prove halifax were idiots, i requoted many cars and there policy was always random on the pricing.
My car is also £20 more to insure than a lotus carlton according to tesco... bizaar.

Im 19 and when i ordered the car in May it was £4200 on Aviva and when i picked it up in September it went up to £6000 :aggressive:

Hopefully 1 years of no claims will put it down when i renew

21, 1year ncb, 5 points, first time on my own insurance. Renewal of £700 with £350 excess with admiral and some mods also. 1.6 FSI

19, 53' 2.0tdi sport, 0 NCB, 6 points,£1,700... And that's not even on my own policy :(!

2009 A3 1.6. 24yo 3 yrs NC. no points. central london postcode. £600 with elephant.
I also have a quote for a new S3 BE, £700 same details, with admiral.
