Id be intereseted to hear your opinions.

I was loooking at getting the votex kit again, but this looks very tempting, would audi dealers fit this as it seems Audi of Lister do.

Im in two minds at the moment, as it looks very aggresive, RS3 anyone as it's not being made why not make your own.

Dave, heres some close up pics from the Caractere homepage, personally i think the kit is one of the best looking around, and doesn't have that front lip like on the oettinger and votex kits.
I had the caractere kit on my old 8L and will be hopefully getting it on my sportback. The quality of construction and materials is first class.

Pics of 3-door.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1luvu.gif I just love it but with the chrome /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1luvu.gif

from what I've seen on the 'net (Oettinger, Votex, Caractere (forget Reiger for me)) then the caractere is my favorite.

I LOVE the rear '"diffuser" and twin pipes.

I like the front, especially with the facory fog lights.

I'm just OK with the side skirts.

...just my .02 Euro

Caractere will be at the Paris Tuning Show this coming thursday - sunday. i'm hoping they'll have an A3

It's not 3k, it £1995 I think from RDS site.

I like the sportsback grill more....

How much is this fitted and does it come sprayed?

Also the votex is covered under warranty, is this so for the caractere kit?

Dave

Dave, best to check with RSD for total costs .

Once VAT has been added, full kit will be around £2260.

Don't no if their are fitting costs + paint costs.

Worth getting a quote from them.

I love that kit, I posted pics when it was first shown and no one really liked it.
I wish I knew which parts were needed just for the new look grille.

A perfect way to ruin a car. Order your own Audi A3 Opel Corsa edition from nearest Caractere dealer.

I must admit I do like the votex kit.

It's the kit I currently have and do love it.

Praps I'll go the same way again as the caractere looks costly.

Sadly fitting non standard stuff usually reduces the value by the amount you just spent on it.

So spend 2 grand on non Audi stuff and the car reduces in value by the same amount. But you pays your money and makes your choice.

Its seems like its the moded cars that cant sell second hand.

Sorry Steve, have to disagree with you there.

If you pay good money to get a kit fitted professionally (and it is a good quality kit votex, abt, caractere, oettinger) and it suits the car, you will not loose money of the value of the car, but should be able to ask more for the car (but not to the extent of the full price).

I had no problems selling my A3 8L with caractere kit and i go about £1200 over the standard going rate for the car which was 5 years old.

As for modded cars, well thats another story. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Have a look in the current Autotrader, some nicely modded Audi's A3 and a really nice ABT TT show car with full body kit and 300 plus BHP for half what it cost... You must have been very lucky.

Also been there done that with a very nice utra low mileage WRX STi with all genuine Prodrive stuff, lost a mint. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif

We have all /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1luvu.gif and lost at some point.

Just the general car cattle market, my friend has bought a brand new 5 series BMW, but deep down he knows his gonna loose a mint on it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif
