what do i need

hi guys what will i need if i want my dis to show more than just how many miles i have left
and is it a big job.

Nope quite an easy job fella,
You need the stalk from audi, or ebay. I picked up cruise control and dis stalk for 45 quid posted.
Also you need vagcom.
Airbag off, steering wheel off, slipring off, stalk off, new stalk on, slip ring on, steering wheel on, airbag on. Then code.

I'm pretty new to it all, but make sure your swcm supports dis, do you have vagcom? Make sure you buy one that is for saloon, or avant if needed.

i have vag 409 not sure if thats any good for that as im new to it but iv got a friend in the usa who can get me the new vag-com kit for realy good money
so may get that one day. whats swcm

Its the collumn control module, i'm sure if you're near someone who has vagcom they'd help.

hmmm how do i no if i have that then do a scan for it

Trying to remember how you do it, i tihnk if you scan the steering wheel - 16 module, it should tell you.
