I'll maybe give it a try later then and see how it sounds. I'm wondering if I'll even notice a difference with the Miltek on. Haha

Took our S4 in for its first service, with DTUKs removed. No dramas. Cost was $565 (GBP 319), but condition of purchase was free servicing and parts for 3yr warranty period.
Loan car was a Q3, for which the Service Advisor apologised (not being a S4). I replied "no worries, as I appreciate the S4 more when I get it back." The thing drove like a biscuit that had been dunked in hot tea!!!
Only issue was the driver's seat. When one reclines the seat back, it reclines unevenly from with the feeling that the framing would collapse.
They tried to fix the seat, but to no avail, believing the problem to be the motor not synchronising with both sides of the backrest. A new seat is on order (ex-Singapore???).

Spent about two hours working out which oil to get. So many options and the service book just says Castrol Edge. Went with 5w30 LL. then checked tyre pressure for first time. Increased to 35psi as I like a harder ride.

I'm no mechanic but it was easy. Anyone could do it if I can. The brake pedal particular easy. The foot rest prizes off and pushes back on. The accelerator pedal was a bit of a stretch!

Had parts installed, but due to the quirks Audi inbuilt with the B9 S4, our S4 actually went to the mechanic, who works on Euro vehicles only, yesterday and became a 2 day nightmare.
For any Aussies reading this, the mechanic is Scott @ Linz Motors, Albion, Brisbane.

Goodridge ZZMT-4P front & rear stainless steel braided brake lines
Made up by Goodridge UK from OEM lines I supplied. Apparently they did not like the OEM solid section, so made their own as part of the kit. Installation was normal, but flushing/bleeding was another matter. With Euro vehicles now you can not just refill the brake reservoir, it must be done under pressure. Knowing Audis, the mechanic tried everything, incl Ross-Tech VCDS etc. to overcome the S4 requiring a security code to allow bleeding the lines. I actually phoned the dealer (through the back door). They still would not release the code saying that the code covered other things apart from the brake bleeding and other people had been given the code and done other things to their Audi??? Meanwhile, Aussie mechanics are well known for being adept at their out of the square skills and mine came through with some juggling, including upping the fluid input pressure to more than 2bar.
Mission accomplished, but after s-o-o many hours.

Power Stop Z16 front & rear ceramic pads
    https://www.powerstop.com/product/power-stop-z16/#y=2018&mk=AUDI&mo=S4
Found these through the Audizine US forum with a link to the BMW US forum.

    https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1224360
There does not appear to be a Central Europe agent, but highly recommend for low price, low shipping cost and prompt service.
    https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/audi,2018,s4,3.0l+v6+turbocharged,3437241,brake+&+wheel+hub

Only driven on them today. Not sure if it was the combination of the braided lines fitted at the same time, so far no squealing. I was after a much smoother progressive feel, as opposed to the OEM immediate brutal bite, and so far, so good. Obviously the next 500kms will tell.

Note – install on the front pads requires removal of the entire caliper, as, due to the external caliper casting covering the space where one would normally insert the pad, the pads are inserted internally into their mounting position. Good one Audi!!! A few expletives and more time wasted by the mechanic.
Yes, thinking about it, I will enquire how one then checks for pad wear.

    034 Motorsport rear sway bar
This was purchased to specifically reduce the dreaded understeer inherent in the B9, and definitely not happy with.
    https://store.034motorsport.com/034motorsport-dynamic-adjustable-rear-sway-bar-b9-audi-a4-s4-a5-s5-allroad.html)
034 bar is a solid spring steel 22.5mm, as opposed to the EOM hollow 18.5mm, that feels flimsy in comparison.
034, Eibach and others sell sway bar kits (front & rear), but normally incorporate heavier (thicker) rear bars, that are more suited to track work.
Eibach may be the exception, but their rear bar is too close to the EOM to justify the cost.
For me, the bonus of purchasing now, apart from a discount from the local agent, was that it could be installed by the mechanic whilst the S4 was already up on the hoist and he had the necessary tools that I didn’t. That was truly a bonus, as the exhaust system has to be dropped (and the rear hangers are the only hangers until right up the front). Also there is a cross brace extending from under the spare wheel well (mindful that the spare wheel is actually located on top of the battery!) to in front of the differential and the OEM rear bar.
The instructions said “snake out the rear sway bar from underneath the vehicle.” They were not wrong!!! More expletives and time.

Having got the tyre pressure warning come on mine today, I went and checked the tyre pressures. F/N/S at 18 with a shiny Phillips screw head in the tread about 1 1/2 in from the wall. I added air and checked the others and will give it a day or 2 to see how long before the warning comes on.

Annoyingly, it's the same tyre I had repaired a few months ago.

    Big day:-
    - Booked in for a training day (cornering, skidpan etc.) in Sept. Open to only Audi Sport customers. Should be a hoot with the wagon.

    - A friend who is the group buyer (Audi, Bentley, Lambo & Maserati) for the stealer where the S4 was today, took me for a drive in his latest daily driver, a black V10 R8 with only 2km on the clock. The owner bought it new, but had to sell it, dropping GBP 85k. I thought a RS6 was awesome. This was on another planet. When he gave it a b-i-g boot my head went momentarily dizzy with the G force. I am thankful I do neck exercises, otherwise I would have had serious whiplash. The time went s-o-o quick, as did the scenery!

    - Gladly dropped back the loaner Q5 to re-aquaint with our S4. They had replaced the driver's seat frame, swapping the upholstery. Now the backrest reclines correctly. Enjoyed the drive home. :)
    - Re-installed the DTUK Tune box & Pedal box and went for a short squirt. :yahoo:

Drove into the petrol station to fill the tank up with 98Ron (poor Oz fuel), but could not open the fuel flap. SWMBO then said through the open window that I had accidentally locked the S4. Unlocked the wagon which unlocked the fuel flap. Well I'll be..........

OK, left off the last sentence:-
Have owned/driven a number of different makes/models in my long time driving, but fuel flaps are usually locked by pulling a lever internally, physically inserting a key into the lock on the flap, or the flap is simply not lockable. This is a first where the flap is lockable within the doors/tailgate system.

Apart from cutting the lead to the cap, has anyone improved on the most annoying thing of the cap resting against the bodywork when open?

Waste of time having a lock on the flap anyway. Usually fuel is stolen by either making a hole in the tank, made of plasteic, or by cutting a pipe. Besides the locked flap is easily levered open anyway.
My cap sits in a round molding on the inside of the flap hinge, so no resting against the bodywork:

Well I'll be blowed!!! Many thanks for that.

Today did an Audi-Sport track & training day @ Norwell Motorplex on Gold Coast, in our vehicles. Variety of R8s, RS5, RS3s, S3s & SQ5s, plus our S4.
Comprised of slalom, skidpan & trackwork. On the skidpan, continued add to my list of don't do's by somehow stopping on the grass verge many metres from where I was supposed to be. No scrutineering, so the DTUK trilogy were 'on'. Particularly the TCE Tune paid for itself, as all day no traction control nor sport/dynamic mode, only 'auto'. Brilliant day though!!
