Cleaned the leather on my S4. It was dark so couldn't take the after pictures however, managed to take a few ones of the clothes that I used. Disgusting! I always thought my interior was spanking clean

Dodo Juice Leather Cleaner. It is a very good product. I used it first on a really neglected leather on a Friend's Q7. The results were really stunning. The sealent goes on tomorrow.

The filthiest bits were the lumber support areas on the front seats. Surprisingly, the rears where the three kids sit were the cleanest . The shine on the leather is completely gone and the matte look that I wanted is back including on the steering wheel. I also used colourlock leather cleaner brush to clean the seats and a soft tooth brush for the steering wheel.

Applied Dodo Juice leather sealent. I hope the camera has captured what I wanted to show but it is the exact kind of matte finish I wanted.

Tried this shampoo followed by the butter wet wax today.

Car was mostly dusty so not really very dirty. So the shampoo did what it supposed to do ‘clean’.


More concerned how the butter wet wax would perform. Since l bought this to apply to a rinsed wet car.


No chance of trying to apply this wax when wet, so had to use a large drying towel to soak up most of the water as the wax would not adhere correctly.

Applied a thin layer of wax to a partially dry car. Left different panels to cure longer and some just waxed and buffed off. Made no difference in the finish.

It does give a deeper gloss finish. Some pictures here.

Time from start to finish was 40 minutes

So knocked 5 minutes off my usual time.

Absolutely love the Purple Monster. I have a few of them and been wanting to order two more but CYC have been out of stock for over a month now. I ended up ordering CG Wooly Mammoth, which I haven't opened yet

Lol. I use Autoglym detailing clothes for cleaning vinyl and rubber and leather and Monster Microfibre for black inlays. MM is 380gsm and soft enough not to scratch the inlays, which AG imo can very easily.

Tbh, I was really surprised / shocked to see the 'dirt' coming off the leather as the car was interior 'detailed and protected' and I have driven it only 1000 miles since March. So, going to talk to my detailer about it.

I took mine on a four day, 1,200 mile road trip round the north west coast of Scotland wild camping. Having previously owner an A3 TDi Quattro 5door, it was great being able to throw soooo much more gear in the Allroad. The car was great and never missed a beat, however, when the going got tough on rough A/B roads, and the speeds got high, the Allroad showed its true colours and got a bit wallowey. Not very inspiring. The brakes struggled too

A Very quick wash n wax which is more like a workout and you need to turn into speedy gonzales.


No interior done but had time just to clean the outside glass.


As long the neighbours don’t disturb you or don’t get any other distractions it’s done in 45 mins. Flat out.


Rinsed/washed/rinsed/dried/lightly waxed/buffed/and chuffed

Some nice new genuine Audi wipers... and ordered the plastic covers for the B&O amp to stop water damage & a replacement B&O speaker for front drivers door.

Speaker was suprisingly cheap.... offsets the extortionate price of the wiper blades!

Finally gave in and washed it. A torrential downpour yesterday took a lot of the dust off it (hooray for ceramic coatings). Quick blast with the pressure washer and then Optimum No Rinse wash and dry panel by panel. This stuff is invaluable for hot days and a black car. Oh and it's low water use for the inevitable hose pipe ban.

People make time for different things. I find car detailing quite relaxing so don't mind. It allows me to switch off for a while.

Parked up at Gravity show. Had my car paint corrected and coated with feynlab ceramic coating earlier in the week. 200 mile drive here, chucked a bucket of water over the car and it's clean again.

The edges are razor sharp so I have spilt a fair bit of blood cleaning them! And yea they take a fair while to clean, a good sealent helps a bit
