coilovers fitted yesterday so gave her a wash today

A few friends and I went to Edition 38 today - perfect weather, good vibes and loads of OTT modifications to laugh at :) Finished off with a spirited drive back and a nice pub lamb roast for dinner :)

Picked it up after her remap. Drove it fast. Washed the soot off when I got home.

Fitted a Chinese Android head unit today. As expected, some minor design issues within software, but these are easy to fix with some tweaks.

Biggest problem are the bottom catches that hold the unit - they don't release with the stereo keys, so you have to remove the hazard switch trim and reach under the stereo face to unclip them. Other than that, very happy with how everything works. Looks very close to OEM too!

The capacitive screen is very high resolution and the quad-core processor makes the thing very responsive. So far, I'm very pleased and looking forward to getting it customised to my liking :)

Once I had time to use it for a bit, I'll post up a review for those that are interested.

Nope. It's just a slight drip at the moment. It's not leaking a worrying amount. Annoying though!

Looks like it's coming from above the oil filter somewhere. :-(

Just picked mine up after a turbo rebuild then went for a blast .ive missed her this week it's like having a leg cut off

Got the car some new shoes!

Well, it was last week.... I bought a set of genuine RS3 Rotors from @Rothery93 so off came the standard 18s & spacers and on went the 19s.

Really happy with the results. They fill the arches perfectly with no rubbing and make the 18s seem tiny now. Ideally I'd like to lower it another 10-15mm but the roads are too unforgiving around south London! :(

Thoughts welcome.
Cheers
Donny

I was bored so I removed the silver door sill inserts .i had bought some 1mm carbon fibre sheet ,so I marked it all out did lots of cutting & sanding . Then add some silver Audi ring decals .i just need to get some double sided tape to secure them

Got my service and MOT done today. She's purring like a kitten and no advisories - here's to another year of hopefully trouble-free motoring :)

Oh, and got a oil top-up bottle at no extra charge too! :)

Last weekend finally managed to fit the radiator after putting up with a small leak for around 2 months.

Started at around 7:05 in the morning and by half past we got to this stage

Then by around 8 it was in bits properly :p

By 10:00 it was all back together and I also took this opportunity to change over the front badge to a black one :D

I'll get a proper pic of the front and back with the new badges, looks cool now I think :D

refiited front bumper ,and rear bumper ,also modded exhaust slightly to make it poke out a little more from the valance
not sure whats people's opinions on this front bumper , better than the s-line 2009 onwards, looks some what like a pre facelift s-line one ,but is supposodly an rs3 rep , it isnt by no means but is lower and more flared than the s-line one .ignore tape only there while final polishing of bumper

Liking the DV+ - got it second-hand from a member here and so far, seems to have made a nice difference to the induction noise and how the power delivery feels. Would recommend it.

Oh yes! Once you see a RS style grill on the front, it seems a shame to spoil the view with a plate in the middle. This plan also drove the purchase of a shorter private plate too :)

I've loved it since I had it on my old fiesta! Had the pressed plate on the honeycomb grill but it just looked too busy! Stuck it straight on the side, I am waiting for it to end up on someone's wind screen when I'm on the motorway mind I trust the double sided tape far too much

Made my own centre caps!

My wheels didn't come with centre caps so as you can imagine they looked really ****! So I set out to buy some rotifrom centre caps turned out to be $25 per cap :/ far to much!

so I designed up some caps for the wheels on CAD, used s 3d printer to make them, primered the them up, sprayed them black, pained the embossed rotifrom red and lacquered them up, I don't think I did too much of a bad job! What does everyone think?
