    @X3man - Cheers Nev
I will be going after the one on Amazon as it’s a direct sell from Colourlock (just can’t link Amazon on ASN for some reason)

The problem with bundled kits is that you get one decent product in the kit (in this case Leather Shield) - the rest is over-priced tat and wouldn't be what I'd choose. A quick shop around would get you better gear for similar moolah. The sponge in that kit is probably worth about 10p, the cloth is similar to what my Mother-In-Law uses to wipe down her toilet seat, and the leather soap might be good, but the bottle is TINY.

My advice (for what it's worth and hinted at in my earlier post) is Valet Pro Leather Soap (MUCH bigger bottle than the soap in that Colourlock Amazon kit), Valet Pro Leather Brush, and Colourlock Leather Shield anti-friction coating.

So for similar money you could get:

Valet Pro Leather Soap and Brush:
    https://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/products/valetpro-leather-cleaning-kit?_pos=2&_sid=8b5622aa6&_ss=r

    Colourlock Leather Shield:
    https://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/products/colourlock-leather-shield-150ml?variant=33709499527

And then use microfibres you already have rather than the pants toilet cloth...

Classy looking console pal. The gear selector looks very tactile. The wife's MINI Cooper has piano black all over the place in the interior (possibly the same in your JCW?). Be thankful that you have just this one small piece of PB trim in the X3 mate. Piano black trim looks great when brand spanking new, but you only have to look at it in slightly the wrong way and it'll swirl. But you know this.

My order from C&S arrived today.

The Kwazar spray bottle looks good. Pic below shows how the flexible hose and weighted ‘pendulum’ at the end of it should keep the bottle spraying and prevent ‘stalling’ when you’re using it at 90 degrees from vertical. The trigger also sprays on both the pull and the release, so less pumpy pumpy, lol.

    C59437A9-171B-403E-AF4E-9CAD38B6968B.jpeg

Also liking the look of the Detail Factory brush (sooo soft!) and the plush Rag Master applicator sponges which should be ace for levelling off QD/paint sealant before buffing, and as they are sponges should be less wasteful with product than a regular plush microfibre.

    AFC62180-E0EB-4E2A-BA03-1B4E20A528FD.jpeg

The Microfibre Madness Incredipad also looks fine, much softer than my outgoing wash pad so I’m happy.

Looks good mate, and not trying to rain on your parade but I have a few of those Kwazar bottles and they do work very well, but one of them not...trigger doesn’t pump properly. Been meaning to contact them to send back just haven’t had the chance.

So I ordered their GT starter pack - 500ml bottles of their pure shampoo & QD

I haven’t had a chance to try the products yet but based on the reviews I won’t be disappointed. Also the service is 1st class. Cheers @THQuattro

I was going to buy one of those 3" rupes machines but saw the 3" and 2" backing plates for my flex machine so went with those instead. Makes life so much easier!
I do have a DA machine with 3 inch plate but rarely use the DA now.
Spent a couple of days doing a Vauxhall Antara this week. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

A rotary is always going to correct any paint faster than dual action polisher but in the end you'll get the same result
Used the rotary with a extension and athe 2 and 3 inch backing plates for awkward areas where no dual action polisher could ever reach...but on larger panels a rotary can/will leave buffer trails ....so the DA is required to buff them off....

I did my uncles other day. Medium pad with yellow Koch chemie did leave holograms which came out with a polishing pad and purple Koch chemie.
Using the medium pad and purple polish straight off gave perfect results. [IMG]

Trial and error mate finding the perfect pad/compound combo is the secret to rotary and dual action polishing

You're spot on. Couple of times I've gone round a car twice, once to remove swirls then again to remove holograms when I could have done it in one go if I'd used a different polish and/or pad.
Like you said, all comes down to experience.

Got one of these to collect tomorrow after seeing a few reviews. Looks quite impressive for a spray wax so worth a try for £16

Quicker application than a paste/hard wax ideal for this time of year, although l tend to swerve this type of product at this time of year because it still involves getting the car fully dried and a bit of buffing is still required....l stay in central Scotland... gets a bit damp and cold even on a good day...lol

Also ordered a couple of items from ECP on eBay which were very cheap so thought I'd share:

1.5L pump sprayer. I use one of these every week for prewash and it's a great bit of kit IMO. £2.95 delivered, you'd struggle to get a decent standard spray bottle for that price... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223478546234

262mm Grit Guard for 20L/5 gallon buckets: £2.95 delivered https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223478547645

@AndrewW - Funny you should mention that
When we bought the Avant the previous owner had used an air freshener inn it - I liked it so much I got back in touch with him & it turned out he was using Autoglym Autofresh
So I bought a bottle for £7. Couple of sprays under the front seats every week keeps it smelling rather nice

But like most things its a personal thing. What I like other might not
