I bought one of these in 1991 and owned if for 4 years - it was a 1987 Rallye model and only had 27k miles on it when I bought it off a doctor, it was in pristine condition at the time too ... amazing car, especially after fitting a scorpion exhaust and superchip

I replaced it in 1995 for another 4x4 turbom, a 1992 Carlos Sainz GT4 homologation special and so have owned a GT4, of one type or another, ever since ... I still do own a 1988 track day ST165 GT4 one to complement the S3 daily driver ...

yea mate its in exeter now, looks pretty hangin from what i have heard, the banded steels are now white and the rear arches are gone, was nice when i owned it

Lol!! it felt like it from where i was sat!

I span on the diesel, and ended up going backwards at a fair pace. Then if you look at the car you can see where the car hit the two trees , one in the boot and one in the drivers door.

I hit my head pretty bad that day to say the least! I sat in the car wile i was in the ditch, trying to get out of the drivers door, and it litterly took me a few minuites to realise there was a tree wedging me in the car! funny now tho!
