hyundai accent :sadlike:

A Hyundai Accent? Blimey, it's a wonder you didn't give up on driving there and then!

Mine was the ubiquitous R-reg 1.2 Corsa, back in June 2000.

same, turbo diesel. Good car to learn in

B6 Audi A4 1.9TDi SE(well that was for my UK test anyway)

Originally passed in a 1.6L Ford Sierra back in 1990.

Same here, dark nasty green with quite a bit of torque which made it easier not to stall...

What ever next...:gaehn:

"What Car did you get you first sh4g in then?...." ****** ell' peeps we are dredging the bottom of the barrel...:sadlike:

In answer to the drivng test question..

A 1981 1.3 Mk1 Fiesta....

And yes, the car did have a rather large glovebox... I know I stuck the driving instructor in there on an emergency stop!;) :doctor: :icon_thumright:

a pug 205 diesel in 1990 with a clutch pedal that needed 2 feet to press it! i hate french cars - they are made from tin and decorators caulking. and were probably assembled by a woman.

A silver Nissan Micra....probably only passed cause the examiner felt sorry for me

A Nissan Almera
5dr hatchback
1.4l
Was my mums car at the time, brought it off her a couple of years later

Citroen ZX K reg. Can't remember what CC but it was far better than the Fiat Uno (instructor's previous car).

An 02 plate Renault Clio 1.2 4 years ago, was quite a good car to learn in, very easy to parallel park, but as it was a 3 door, and i am quite a tall chap, it was difficult for me to get into a comfortable driving possition! Still, i only needed 14 lessons before i managed to pass my test in it, so i didn't have to bear it too long.

I can't remember for sure - it was so long ago. OK, it was 15.5 years ago. I think it was an F reg Ford Fiesta belonging to the driving instructor. Anyway most of my practice driving was in my mum's D reg Polo Coupe S.

A Brand new 1995 Rover Metro with 5 speed gearbox(ooooooh) registered on 1st August, my test was on 4th August, and I only had 1 hours tuition on the day of the test in the said car. I passed 1st time and was the first person to pass in the car!

1990 H reg 205 diesel in 1992. Passed while mum and dad were on holiday. Rang mum's car leasing company, told them I'd passed and had 2 weeks of fun until they came home :racer:

A nice polished ****, called a Triumph Dolomite........ in the year 1980

They were a good car in the 1970s, provided you got a 1850 or a Sprint. A pal of mine bought a 1973 L-reg 1850 for £150 when we were students, & we hammered round Edinburgh's cobbled steeets for years, mostly sideways.

my instructors Rover 25 2.0tdi

had some go in it considering i was a learner

1979 MK 2 1.3 Escort a massive 56bhp IIRC. My first car m with no proper lessons, AAHHH those were the good old days, (1989)

Rolls Royce Phantom.

Oh no, my mistake, it was an H reg Toyota Corrola in 1994.
