what car did you have before?

dont even start me on the old vtec thing arggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My last car was a Subaru Impreza STI with a Prodrive performance pack fitted and it was verrrrrrry fast and verrrrrrry thirsty.

Prefer the comfort and economy of my S3 though :)

My last car was my first family car or first since starting a family!

A MK4 Golf GT TDi 110 with Bilstein shocks and Eibach Springs to replace the shocking standard suspension.

Just been replaced with a A3 TDI 130 Sport which is a lot softer but im getting older so some bigger alloys but nothing more I reckon.

Previously (excluding cheap runabouts):

Clio Williams 2 (only 30k on the clock)
Fiesta RS Turbos x 3 (best one was silver - only 71 made - weighed 920kg & chipped to 170bhp so it was nippy)
Golf MK2 16v GTi
Fiesta RS1800is x 2

Black 1990 H reg Fiesta Rs Turbo.....still got it too!

Now Audi S3 210bhp.....much faster then the fesser turbo...but don't sound nearly as good.....Full 4inch stainless zorst scorpion and bailey dump valve.....mmmmmmmmm

my first car was a 2001 polo 1.0l loverly it was had that for 3 years! (slammed on BBS wheels)
my next car i bought was a 99 A4 avant TDi chipped and full milltek! (again slammed on coilovers and audi rimmage) wish i never sold that car had every factory fit option!!
my next car will be either a B5 S4 heavily tuned or a real B5 RS4!
wait for the pay rise of course!

Last car was a vtec civic, theres no other makes i've heard that makes that awesome vtec noise, mines had a full exhasut and and intake and the sound was something else, especially under bridges and tunnels..

Previous car was a 2001 MK4 golf gti turbo re-mapped to around 210bhp

Before that it was a 52 reg polo 1.9tdi sport 100bhp, a 2001 Y reg saab 93 turbo, 1994 bmw M3 3.0, 1995 bmw 323i coupe, 1993 Calibra 2.0 16V which i had for 5 years.

Fiat tipo 1.4 (L)
Renault clio 1.2 (S)
Ford Ka 1.3 (03)
Ford Focus 1.4 (55)
Audi A3 1.8t (Y) <- current
I can't claim any ownership of the fords as they were both family cars and shared with younger brothers, the only thing i miss going from the focus to my a3 is the handling but I get over that whenever I put my foot down :D

D reg pug205 XLD
J reg pug 309 GRDT
P reg rover 420SLDi
V reg pug 306 DTurbo HDi (tuning box)
51 SEAT ibiza TDi Sport (MK3) (Chipped)
53 SEAT ibiza TDi Sport (MK4) (Chipped)
03 Audi A3 (8L) Sport (S-line spec) (re-map)

all dervs - how sad am I !!!

i still got my civic vti ek was using it as my daily drive and saving the s3 for weekends, but clutch wont disengage so cant change gear, so its sat on the drive and i using the s3 daily, only been off the road about a week and i so miss reving it to the red line just to here the vtec. Had it 2 years never once gone wrong as soon as i got the audi the civic started to play up, ABS light came on, now clutch gone.

MR2 GT-S Turbo.

Did 0-60 in just over 5 seconds.

Cost me over £3000 in repairs etc in less than a year! ****** loved it though, my highlight was taking my mate out while he was on acid, and the brakes locking up at 100mph resulting in a massive spin out! he was laughing throughout while i was shitting it! took my boss to the station once and came around a corner too fast only to spin out again! got the hand of Turbo'd RWD driving eventually!

In the end the Turbo bit the dust, and flogged it for £1500 with a £500 stereo!

Then i bought a Diesel Audi!

I do miss it my hairdressers car!!! haha.

had a 1.6 punto sporting
then a Punto Gt turbo (Best car i've had) wish i never sold it.
IMGP0030.jpg

Then bought an ibiza cupra which got written off in a flood. started off like this.

then after a bit of modding looked like this.

DSC00294.jpg

With insurance money and savings i bought the s3.

As for next car. Porsce 911 (993) carerra. last of the aircooled and the best looking.

Lovely car but I'm not a fan of Diesel, spoils the car a bit - fantastic engine though for a Diesel.

Still have an M3 for private use:

The best car I've owned to date, for the money I can't find anything to touch it. When I first got it I was humbled by its capabilities, it took a few months to really find its limits.

Previous car was a black 106 GTi lowered 60mm on 17s (with NO rubbing)was running about 148.8bhp when i sold it with just a group N and RAM air filter. Was so much cheaper to mod than the audi that's what i miss the most.

err...........nope. that was a cracking car actually. i bought it for my dad to drive around in whilst i was, err, "between licenses" as i didn't want him driving the XR3I. it never broke down, drove really well for an old mans car and never cost me a penny other than petrol.

the real shed in there was the mark 3 cortina, belched out smoke everywhere and you had to bleed the brakes before setting off anywhere, never did find the source of the leak. in second place for shed of the week was the celica, nice car but just had no soul, it was made out of the tins john west rejected. a heap of plastic and tin junk.

the Herald was another nice car, never broke down and if i'd had the time i was going to unbolt the roof and fit a convertable top. piece of cake on them. when you wanted to service it you just lifted the whole of the front end and sat on one of the wheels to work on it, doddle

At the ripe old age of 23 I've had ........

Astra 1.4- (first car)
Mk 3 Golf 1.9d (modified, back in the day of chavness) only have pic with wheels thank god there was lights and m3 mirrors and all sorts, very tacky lol

Mk 3 Golf Gti 16v ( subtle mods, pride and joy)

Suzuki swift 1.0 (second car for work with gti)

impending driving ban.....

Pug 306 2.0 Hdi meridian with half leather quite nice actually

Post driving ban...

2001 E46 Bmw 320ci on 18's ( looked hot but dull to drive)

Astra 1.6gls for work (CURRENT)
2002 S3 265 bhp (CURRENT)

Yep, it was inevitble that the insurance was going to be a killer on group 20

Sold the S4 & bought a nice sensible house to occupy my time during the ban :w00t: ... We all need to grow up sometime i suppose :notme:

Back when I had more free cash, these 2! The S2000 I bought brand new, the Rallye(which was mint) was bought as a track day tool. Put all my money into property and got rid of both - dont regret that but those 2 were fun!

Liking them both!! Did the Rallye make a god track tool?

yes very good, if a little understeery to be fair - better on the twisties ofcourse, ultimately fatter faster cars kill you on the straights.

Never took the S on track, though passengered in a few and it seemed very capable in the right hands, if a little twitchy at the rear

i had an EK Civic 1.6vti. greatest engine in the world. off the clock with 4 folk in it. the noise with an induction kit on it is simply amazing. my mate bought it from me and everytime i see it i regret selling it.
just bought a flat so thinking about selling the S3 and buying either a DC2 Integra or a EK9 Type R Civic. Also thinking about a possible VR6. either a Golf or a Corrado. the noise those things make i also amazing. 2 of my mates have Golfs. so so so cool.

sorry no pics

Apart from my S3 now and my first car, I've been a sucker for Pugeot hot hatches . They don't make a decent one anymore, hence the defection from the French to the Germans.

D Reg Nova - 1.2 - i (!)
Pug 205 XS
Pug 205 1.6 GTi
Pug 306 XSi 8v
Pug 306 Rallye
Pug 306 Gti 6
and now the S3

None of them modded - all as nature intended; although chipping the S3 is tempting!

Jeez I miss the Rallye! The Gti 6 was just as good, and had the added comfort of air con and leather. The Rallye really was a bargain, though. Exactlty the same at the Gti 6 but shorn of all uneccesary wieght and £3k cheaper! Why don't all maunfactureres do "Rallye Versions?"
