What car did you have before S3? and what next?

Just interested as to what everyone had before, and more importantly what the step up is!?
I came from a MK4 1.8t, whcih i had for a month as it was so dissapointing. i have owned adn built two of the fastest MK1 clio's in the UK, one which 1/4's in 14.4 and one in 14.1, whcih for a FWD N/A car is awesome!
I'm thinking of the porsche route next, but the boxster is always gonna be classed as the poor mans prosche adn the carrera's are to expensive!

Next - I'll keep the S3 for 3 years so who knows

dont know planned on keeping the S3 for 12-24 months but at the moment theres nothing in my mind to replace it.

Don't have any plans to get rid of the S3 but think it deserves a friend...

2002 - Present - Audi A3 1.8T...started out standard... couldnt be any further from standard anymore! Soon to be the most powerful and quickest A3 in the UK! (i think anyway!)

a 2001 S4

I've now got a fully loaded Misano red RS4 which is my best car to date by far. I do admit however that the S3 was a very hard car to replace.

Since I passed my test:-

1991 - Opel Kadett/1991 - Austin Maestro 1.3 (cheap for insurance!)/1992 - Cavalier SRI/1992 - Rover 216 Vitesse/1994 - MG Maestro Turbo (very fast car)/
1996 - Ford Fiesta 1.1/1998 - Corsa SRI/1999 - MR2 Turbo/2000 - 106 diesel/2002 - Saxo VTR/2003 - A4 1.8T QS (woo hoo!).

Since 1996 have owned two cars and still have the Saxo and the VTR.

Would have bought the S3 however really need the space of the 4 door and boot. Looking to upgrade to an S4 or RS4 dependant on funds...

AUDI is by far the best though I did fall in love with the Maestro Turbo (Don't knock it til you've tried - You'll find one running 1/4s in 12s which has the title of fastest FWD in England)

last was a volvo 850 T5 estate - but i did have it upgraded (of course) to 315hp, full suspension, anti-roll bars etc

surprised a few golf gti and others at the lights, and even in the bends!

s3 now - (already done suspension, Revo, ARBs, brakes on the way, satnav, andymac sub and phatnoise in already)

s3 with big turbo next

after that - new rs3 or rs4 when they arrive or keep the s3 with big turbo and get a tvr for sunny days
