My nose is running like linford Christie mate absolutely Baltic it is rains even when its 4 degrees fritters plough the roads at 6 degrees...a give up really do....better buying a old van to travel to work in
What snow foam are you using these days? You are mad, but I do feel your pain. If you could see our S3 & A4, you’d be shocked at the amount of dirt
Sympathise with you mate - it just has to be done sometimes especially when the weekends are packed with the Mrs task list!! At least you know you’ve got some reasonable protection under there from the earlier work you’ve done. Pointless getting a van for work as you lose all the joy of having a great motor !
I use whatever comes to my hand first mate, this time around l used the appropriately named Polar Blast lol it's a good snow foam clings well which is great for winter
Yes it was only £9 delivered on Amazon l also bought their high definition shampoo 1 litre £13 delivered haven't used it yet but good value for money
Yeah it is mate but l wouldn't pay the RRP for it...then it begins to look poor value for money given the size of bottle
Finally a bit of decent weather. 2 clean audis Also found an amazing window cleaning tip Glass cleaning clothes. Used 2 one damp and one dry. Went over the inside windows first with the damp one, then buffing it dry with the dry one. No streaks at all. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
That's the same method, I use to clean my OLED TV screen, for no smears. Best way to clean it As long it not the same cloth used for the car. lol
Whenever I do this the glass seems to dry before I get a chance to dry/buff it Sent from my HD1913 using Tapatalk
Quick wash so I could test out the Turtle Wax “Dry & Shine” recommended in another thread. Was a bit sceptical how effective a spray on then rinse off wax could be but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I did end up using about 1/3rd of the bottle though because even the slightest breeze and the product was off in the wind.
Winter wheels ceramic coated with GTechniq C5 wheel armour, ready to be fitted next week. Some pics of process:
Yep, is a time consuming job, but will make cleaning the crud off SO much easier. Will post pics when fitted Col
Used some Polar seal then some carpro hydro lite2 A Oled screen ain't made of glass though l wouldn't use a abrasive glass cleaner on it at all mate
You've too much money lol or mores the case spending it on the car...l grudge buying replacement tyres nevermind buying winters...heaven forbid lol as l have other cars at my disposal to knock the **** in the snow to get to work Mind you am just as daft with money but not on my car Ps...Like them alloys mate yer X3 will look like something out of the Fast n Furious with them on it lol
Oh no, should have made my response a bit more clear. Just water only to make the cloth damp for the OLED screen.
All choice innit. So never slid on icy roads? We have a hill to our house that is impassable without winters. Trust me I have tried. All depends where you live
So having set of winters (that are over £100 per corner cheaper than 21” summers) will save me buying another set of summers anytime soon. As said above, have a hill or two round here that is not gritted and cannot take on with summers 4x4 or not. Getting fitted tomorrow PS: Sold my Q5 winter wheels and tyres so was a big chunk of the new ones
Not an Audi I know but I finally got to clean my new van facelift Renault Trafic sport today didn’t go all out as didn’t have enough time or decent weather. Started with Af citrus power on lower half & Af avalanche washed with Gwash used Gtechniq C2v3 as drying aid then 2 coats of C2v3 all over & on the wheels & megs on the tyres. Hopefully see me through the winter. Rained about 30 mins after I finished.
@Bristle Hound I’ll get some cab pictures tomorrow weather permitting but is been wiped down with Af spritz & windows cleaned with Af crystal. Before. After LED interior lights fitted in standard lights & some shelves I got from eBay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've seen people who've conquered everst struggle to get up my street in winter. Winter tyres, chains, 5000 wheel drive, it's not happening. I've always managed getting where I need to get in the snow, even with my previous 2wd renaultsports. Don't think I've ever noticed anyone bombing ahead in winter and thinking "man, he's gotta be on winter tyres" Sent from my GM1913 using Tapatalk
Just seen this. Didn't think there'd be so much difference. No one would probably be doing 30mph on the roads in the snow but still, surprised me. Sent from my GM1913 using Tapatalk
There is another one that carwow did. Wet track 7deg C, summer tyres took 45 metres to stop from 60mph I think. Winters did it in 32m. I get them more for the overall winter performance and icy roads round here, not to fly around in snow
Didn’t drive to Hemel Hempstead today - let my colleague take us in his company Beemer 1 series instead. What a shed. If your gear lever gaiter looks like an ash tray you should hang your head in shame. Felt like wiping my feet when I got OUT of the car. Glad I let him drive - he took 3 rocks to the bonnet/windscreen and some random piece of truck wheel arch lining face on, on the front end. He couldn’t have given two ******, pillock thought it was funny. I sat in the passenger seat thanking Christ it wasn’t my car. 4 hours in a car with that *** head today. My tongue is pretty much bitten off...
boiler died last Friday Was replaced on Monday coinciding with the coldest night so far this winter After spending all that money the new boiler cabinet was crying out for a coat of sealent lol Ta dah ! My boiler is in the garage so between the plumber and I we went crazy insulating every bit of pipe we could see lol
At the moment it's dark when I leave the house on weekdays, dark when I get back, and raining at weekends. So the car is looking a little sorry for itself. I have high hopes for a dry day on Sunday. Hope you went over it with the DA first!
