I'm looking for some help or ideas. First off can someone confirm, or not, that the Mk2 RNSe 8P0 035 193G is capable of using SDS functionality with the SDS hack.

If it can I've reached a point from which I'm not sure how to proceed. Everything with the upgrade seems to work, so radio (although need to upgrade the antenna), Nav (using 2013 maps) Telephone (iPhone connected via bluetooth), which allows me to scroll the phone book on the DIS using the mode button on the MFSW and to make and answer calls. Can also see the phone/directory etc on the RNSe screen. I've downgraded the firmware to 150 then upgraded to 220 with SDS and within the unit I can select the SDS language which is set to English.

My issue is getting the SDS to work. I can use the PTT button and hear all the commands but what ever I do, it cannot seem to hear me. If I push the button and say 'next station' for example there will be a delay and then I will hear 'Pardon?' at which point I will say 'next station' again, followed by another delay. I will then either be told what the available commands are and when I try 'next station' again it says 'cancel', like it's timed out waiting for my command. I've included a bunch on information below on coding for the different modules and errors which includes the antenna fault that I'm aware of and in the process of getting sorted but any help/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Car is a 2006 S3 with MFSW & Audi bluetooth.

Cheers

I am keen to upgrade my mk2 RNSe from basic to full SDS but when I asked and researched a while ago it doesn't seem its possible. The mk1 can be hacked with discs and VCDS but apparently the mk2 is a unit hardware upgrade.
Here's hoping it can be done and I'm sure one of the retrofit gurus will be along to advise.

What I do is press the button on the rnse, a million times less annoying

Yes it is possible I can confirm that and I've answered my question above which is that the mic needs rewiring to the RNSe so just looking into that and I'll have full SDS with the Mk2 RNSe :icon thumright: Can find lots of posts but nothing with a diagram to give me the confidence at the moment.

I think the full SDS may require a different bluetooth module to support the operation of it, if I remember correctly when I installed RNSE and bluetooth.

I remember Nigel offered this feature.

Ah - hopefully Nigel will catch this thread and be able to confirm either way. I was under the impression that I should just be able to rewire but my head is swimming with the number of threads I've read trying to work this out

Like you, the sds just is rubbish, novelty at best, I just navigate with the buttons

Not quite sure why I'd need to rewire my mic as it works already, I just want some more functions.
