Guys,

I own an S3 and this morning have been having a chat with someone who is soon opening a new Garage in Newport (South Wales). The company will be trading as Westec Performance, they have a website - Westec Performance - REVO Specialist
Westec will have their new premesis open from the 1st of April 2005 and it will have the first 4 wheel drive rolling road in Wales which is likley to generate massive business for them.

I would heavily suggest using this company as they have really gone out of their way to help me out with my car.

Give them a try !!!

Yep, Germania have not had a RR before though, they are going all out and that is great as I live in Newport, so will be putting mine on the RR to see what it is pushing out as standard, as RR sessions are quoted on the site as from £44 + VAT /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
Germania are the car sales side ,which was in partnership with the tuning/servicing side ie westec,but they are going their separate ways.Rolling road is a dastec 4x4 ,surposed to be good ?,its being fitted in April so we should have some rolling road days there.Seat cupra net i think are already planning one as Westec are one of their advertisers,also A&M motorsport are trying to get one organised .I met the westec guys when i picked up my carbon engine cover.Cheers Andy

Well if a meet is on the cards it better be when I am off shift or pleanty of notice so I can book the weekend off /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It will be great to put faces to names as who knows when you might need to help each other out with stuff like VAG COM etc

I am off so tomorrow so will either drive down or call them at around 3pm, will discuss the 10% discount for the forum (same as UKMIV forum) and once that is sorted will ask for a group RR day and price and then we can get on with sorting a date in April ish /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
Damn just realised it is Big V day tomorrow so will be out with "the wife" all afternoon, will pop to Westec on Tuesday instead

LOL well my afternoon went down the pan fast, our ****** cat of 9 months decided to climb onto the highest part of the roof apex of a very large and odly shaped house at 7am and I have spent all afternoon/evening trying to coax him down up a ladder in the ****** wind /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burningmad.gif

Fire Brigade are no longer into rescuing cats and the RSPCA will not call them out until 48hrs has passed, just looked out the window and the poor little **** is still on the roof meowing away.

So my plans to cook "the wife" a meal turned into going to the chip shop /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/woohoo.gif

Needless to say in her pregnant state she has not stopped crying for fear on him freezing to death /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/snore.gif

Anyway priorities have been re-written and tomorrow will go like this

Wash car
Sort out 10% discount and RR with Westec
Call RSPCA back @ 6pm if he is still on the roof and wait to see the fire brigade turn up to rescue my cat /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif

Thanks for the good word!!

Just a few things tho, we are nothing to do with Germania at all, I (Grant) used to do the Revo tuning for them but i've now gone into partnership with Jock (our Audi specialist) and Bob (used to own the garage in Langstone) and we are setting up a completely new place in Leeway Court.

We have gone all out and are spending about 100k on the place. This will include the new 4x4 Dastek rolling road, servicing equipment and we still have the Revo contract as well.

At the moment we are based in the old Germania building, but other than that and being friends thats the only relationship we have with them.

I'm sure Ash will tell you the rest!
 
As said above, went to Westec and met Grant and Jock, both top blokes, Jock even game my car the once over to see what my knocking problem was, looks like the front ARB bushes, so they are ordered and Jock will fit them for me next Wednesday, along with the Steering column mount busher.
Well impressed with how friendly and knowledgeable they are and how willing they were to spend time with me to talk about discounts and RR group buys for the audi-sportnet forum.

Basically as it stands Grant has contacted the audi-sportnet admin about coming on here as an advertiser (with a banner) so he is waiting on a price off them. Once he has a price, if he takes them up on the offer then we will get something like the 10% discount that ukmkiv forum get.
As for RR prices they will be about £40 per run as stated on their site, but for a group buy around £25 each per run.

The new site that they are moving to in Newport will also be ideal for forum meets as there is parking for loads of cars with food and beer near by. The Seat and VW forums are good cmr's of Westec already and they are keen to get well known amongst the Audi owners.

In the meantime though if you need anything done or any parts then contact Grant on 01633 274777

Oh and the reason it has taken me so long to get home and type this.....

Because Grant put the Revo 5hr trial on for me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif and I must say the difference is amazing, the cars pick up is so much quicker, I ****** love it !

I cannot believe the pull in 5th and 6th gear as well, doing 70 and put your foot down and it goes to 120 like you are in 3rd /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Still got about an hour left of the trial so off to bed and then up early for more fun /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/groovy.gif
