Wastegate rattle

Hi,

I recently changed my Audi a3 8v 1.4 TFSI turbo at 120 000 km, i only have done 800 km with it and it already began to do an wastegate rattle sound.

Is it only an annoying noise that will last or could it have serious consequences if i dont take it seriously ?

Anyone know how to fix it as it looks to be an common known issue ?

Hello.

Was it a new genuine turbo? I would go back to the garage or where you bought it tbh.

It seems to only be an annoying noise but a brand new turbo 800km on it? I'd be wanting that swapped almost instantly.

My turbo has been rattling for nearly 2 years. Same engine and I have been putting it off for this exact reason
